The epic campsite in the canyons. Question for you, I have a roof-top tent on my Raptor, but when it's closed up, it matches my roofline. I'm getting two miles per gallon better gas mileage with it on (highway, limited testing of around 100 miles, noncontiguous). Has your mileage changed due to aerodynamics alone (ie, rack/tent without weight, rack/tent with weight, vs stock. If you have any way of knowing..)? I'm most curious because I want to switch to a rack like yours, but I'm wondering if it's a major hit aerodynamically without a rooftop rack to act as a helper to get the air up over it more? 🤔 Love your setup. Looks exactly like what I have planned for mine. Beauty of a truck you've got there! Great video, too! Subscribed.

Schnebly Hill Road has been on my bucket list of roads I want to travel. Thank you for sharing. I’m going to have to try that awesome spot with the view up by Flagstaff. Just got my (new) 2014 F150 4x4 I’m itching to get down some roads!

It's an iPad mini, so I can get away with this... I use a Ram Mount connected to a Off Roam vent mount. (getoffroam.com is awesome stuff)

Hey man! New to your channel and really enjoying your videos. I recently purchased a 2019 Raptor. I am wondering whats your fuel economy like? How many miles on one full tank? Thanks man!
@SocialPants Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the sub! With all the weight, I average about 17MPG believe it or not. Off-road for days-- a little less but not by much. The Raptor has a 32gal tank so I get about 500 miles of range out of a single tank. All this assumes I'm not "hitting the Turbo hard." :)

Awesome journey. Noticed your radio in your center overhead area? Have you covered some of your comms gear in a walk around? I haven’t missed any of your vids but it’s possible I’ve missed it. Safe travels

Thanks! I haven't covered comms in a video actually. I'll include that in my next video summing up the learnings from this adventure.
