Off Road Rule #1 - Keep the Rubber Side Down...Sometimes.

Everyone knows the #1 rule for going off road - Keep the rubber side down! This is great advice for Jeep Wranglers, Ford Broncos, Toyota 4Runners, and just about every full sized off road rig. But when you start talking about crawlers...keeping the rubber side down, is sometimes just a suggestion.

Some of the guys in the rear steer buggies have some serious cajónes that’s for sure. Not cutting Brittany and the other guys with the drag axles short took some extremely hard lines. Keep the trail ride videos coming I really enjoy them and welcome back home!🍻

Its fun watching Kevin when hes in learning mode. You can tell he is watching and absorbing all the rear stear tecnique, then translating it to a line for the drag axle, or just narating out loud what hes seeing.

Tell Kevin to not forget the helmet next time. I know I see people all the time doing this without one but all it takes is one mistake and one rock to hit in the opening for you to mess that pretty face up or even worse. I'm all about having fun and taking risk but be smart doing it. Kevin remember the helmet next time please I would like to have the chance to meet yall one day. Glad you're back to wheeling.

Yeah, I had told him at the beginning of the trail that I wouldn’t attempt anything where the buggy felt unsettled & flopping/flipping were a possibility. Luckily these obstacles were all more technical than dangerous. But we also have a new method for making sure we don’t forget it - I grab it from now on. Lol

The things those buggies can do is absolutely insane!!! Honestly I think Brittany does so dam well because of those Nitto tires. So many other buggies are struggling and spinning tire like hell because they have other brands. Those Nitto tires just hook like glue it seems.

Our group has wheeled with Woody a number of years and he and his rig are pretty awesome. Our group has rear steer and drag axle. As Woody does, our group started wearing helmets over ten years ago as we did more and more stupid stuff. It is as much for walking on rocks as it is for incidents in the buggies. Start wearing helmets in the buggy guys. It only takes one time hitting your head.

I think you guys really do need rear steer cause as awesome as the buggy is it makes everything look so easy until you go extreme with rear steer vehicles and then you're pushing it to find the limits while second guessing safety and capabilities. Having rear steer will allow you to push your driving skills without the vehicle holding you back. Both Britney and Kevin definitely have the skills for the extreme, it will provide awesome content if they get 2buggies and compete against each other. 😀👍

Every time I watch a buggy video I’m always like “how the hell….” Question for you. On the Stepchild you have UHMW overlaid on your skids to help it slide. And you run UHMW skids on the SxS. Why don’t you have it overlaid the belly and rock slider skids on your buggy to help make it a little more slippery? Are you just not wanting to give up that extra 1/2 inch of clearance?
@LiteBrite
@LiteBrite Жыл бұрын
Partly because of the clearance (cause every little bit really can make or break you on some of these obstacles), but also because we just haven’t really had time to give the buggy some TLC 😅
