Off-road Trip to Matokana, Navosa Highlands (FIJI)

Matokana Village is in the mountainous range of Navosa region in Fiji. Matokana Village is probably the most isolated and remote village in the province. Previously, there was no road, and just mountainous terrains and forests, and only mode of transportation was on horseback or by foot, a gruelling seven and a half hours hike through the rugged terrain of the Navosa Province to reach Matokana Village, however, we have now seen vehicles going through to Matokana thanks to the Rural Road project by the Fijian government. Matokana villagers say if you have never been to Matokana, you have never been to Navosa. This video is shot on a GoPro Hero 8 and is mostly shot in 1080p 30 fps.

You can follow this road and come out to the Queens road in Serua province to the SE side of Viti Levu through logging access roads
