Off-Road with 3 Tacomas! TRD Pro, Off-Road, & Sport!

In this video, we are going on a small adventure in Colorado, we go to a trail called Bill Moore Lake. This trail is rated as a moderate trail so it was not technical at all. This trail does lead to a lake at the end but you can not drive up to the lake, it is blocked off for preservation purposes.
All 3 Tacomas do extremely well off-road, even better with the OEM lockers that come in the Pro and Off-Road trims. The Sport did not have any issues either but could have definitely taken the harder lines with a locker. Overall, all 3 Tacomas did extremely well. Even if the vehicles were stock this trail would have been no issues at all.

I know Colorado can have some steepness but rolling with ECT on all the time is probably the biggest contributor to bad MPG. Nice video!

I'm currently deciding between ordering a loaded 2020 Offroad or Pro with the manual. The msrp of the Offroad is just over $42k vs around $45k for the Pro. The difference of $3k for the Pro gets you the upgraded Fox suspension, TRD wheels, TRD skidplate, "TRD Pro" embroidered headrests, TRD shift knob & floor mats, and homelink. Everything else the Pro has is also available on the Offroad. The big ding against the Pro is that it's not available in the cement color for 2020, only white, black, magnetic and army green. I really had my heart set on cement, so that sucks. Also, I will be offroading this truck occasionally, but nothing too advanced, so the Offroad suspension would probably be fine for me, but I do like the idea of having more capability than I need rather than possibly not enough. I will also be hauling a slide-in camper full time, probably a FourWheel Swift, so it will be a heavy rig! Is the Pro worth that extra $3k? I'm leaning toward the Offroad...what do you think?

Get the offroad. You're probably going to lift it anyway, and remove the Fox suspension. So save the 3k and use it for your lift.

@@gregmeola9012 I already got a double cab long bed offroad. I was never really all that drawn to the Pro to be honest. The offroad will serve my needs just fine and if I eventually need more capability, I can customize it to my liking.

If your just getting it for off-roading, the only reason you should get a Tacoma over a 4Runner is for the 6 speed manual. I’ve literally taken my 4Runner into places that got Tacoma Trd pros stuck.

Hate to be that guy, but PSA don’t build a fire so close to the trees especially with exposed roots. The roots can smolder and slow burn and start a forest fire days after you’re gone.
