Hello Buddy, Hope you are doing great, I have a Ford Explorer 2010 Limited 4X4 8 cilinders (4.6 Liters 3V) and I will like to lift it in order to put some higher tires (265 80 R17) but keeping the same rims (17") so I do not have any idea about the high of the lift kit I can use in both sides (3" or 2.5"). Could you kindly help me on this matter ? I heard that 3" lift kit will stress the ball joints and some other components, is this thrue ? Kind regads.

it will stress your OEM control arms and ball joints.. I hear the BTF Uniball control arms are the way to go. I have a 2007 with the 4.6.

Does it have issues shifting gears at those speeds? Maybe a transmission issue? Upload a video of the noise
