Saudi Arabia’s Rub’ al Khali - The Empty Quarter - الربع الخالي
Dunes as hight as 300M or 1000ft, more like mountains of sand in this inaccessible landscape.
The Empty quarter is the world's largest sand desert, the Rub Al Khali is almost 650,000 square kms in size with sand dunes as high as 250meters (higher than a 80 storey building).
The desert is 1,000 kilometres (620 miles) long, and 500 kilometres (310 miles) wide. Its surface elevation varies from 800 metres (2,600 ft) in the southwest to around sea level in the northeast.[4] The terrain is covered with sand dunes with gravel and gypsum plains.[3][4] The sand is of a reddish-orange color due to the presence of feldspar.[4]

Want to explore follow our quick guide:
1. Get the right vehicle. 4x4 with good clearance and functions such as diff locks and crawl control
2. Get a full tank and enough recovery gear before doing off-road - Recovery tracks, soft shackle, snatch strap, lift etc.
3. Tyre pressure - Deflation is very important - go down to 10 PSI or lower if you face difficulty.
4. Navigation and Maps - Absolutely critical to know where you are and where you want to go.
