If you have any contacts please share on insta, thank you in advance 😊
@hikENShootJapan
@hikENShootJapan Жыл бұрын
Hi!! First of all thank you for watching. In August there won’t be much snow in the mountain. So, it will be a summer hike. If the weather is good the hike will be easy. I recommend Yoshida trail because it is accessible. There are a lot of transportation (buses) going to the 5th station from major cities in Tokyo, like Shinjuku, during the peak season. If you are a seasoned hiker, I don’t think you’ll need a hut. But timing is tricky! Usually in Summer I start late at night and wait for the sunrise then go down. Are you going solo?

Hi! Having a guide is recommended. But some Japanese do it on their own so, if the gate towards the 5th station is open and you have a vehicle to go up there, then it is doable. Just be careful ☺️ Check Mount Fuji site for more information about offseason climbing.

Hi, the thing is we still feel the symptoms of altitude sickness when we go up but the fact that we aren’t staying the night, won’t be there for long and going down on the same day, prevents the altitude sickness from worsening. I hope that makes sense.
