Off The Cuff Groove 001 - Piano Keyboard Funk Groove

Piano's in storage. No space in the current place for full-on video lessons. So I just fired up my Mobius Looper and played a little funky "live" groove by assembling live recorded loops. Yes: That is a cat toy at my feet next to my FCB 1010 midi foot pedal.
Levels were a little hot, but that's what you get with a single-take off-the-cuff groove.

The keyboard is a Casio Privia-PX 330, but I'm not using the internal sounds for this. It's a VST called "MrRay73" run through an amp simulator called FreeAmp and a 'vintage' reverb called OldSkoolVerb.

@scifizydeco All sounds are from a laptop hosting VSTs. One of them is "Mobius" a great (and free) looper. I set up the first 10 preset buttons on my FCB1010 to play midi notes (very low notes). These trigger events in mobius: Start Record, Stop Record, Next Track, etc.Message me -- and I can give more details. Or maybe I'll try and put together a quick video overview.

Thanks, Maria :) - The pedals (in this setup) let me control my loops: start record, stop record, switch loops, etc. It is a Casio Privia, but I'm not using the internal sounds here, instead using some soft synths (VSTs) on my laptop.

I remember one night coming back from somewhere I don´t recall in the metro in my homecountry Argentina. Then a dude steps in with a keyboard and a Marshall amplifier and I thought to myself "geeez, here it comes the same old fucking bullshit... stupid basic latino songs just to fund a bit of money". For anyone feeling they can't get these beats happening. I find it very helpful to write out left and right hand on one line so I can say the beat and then tap it out on a table. Separating the hands is much easier once the beat can be said. .
