Realistically they could've just taken the same untouched game engine from the first GRID, slapped more tracks and car models into it and I think a ton of people would've been happy. The biggest downside for me of the 2008 GRID Game was that it felt a little bit like a Codies, 'Look at our fancy tire barrier physics' demo. Just build upon what you have, don't overcomplicate it. It's the same issue I have with GTA games.

Being serious, if it wasn’t for Race Driver GRID, I wouldn’t have become a big fan of racing/driving games. Yeah I played Nascar Games way before and some Gran Turismo 3 as well as Burnout & Need for Speed, But GRID opened my eyes to a bigger world and I’m excited for the new one. I even bought the recent Switch port of Autosport and despite it removing a few things it’s still a good game in my opinion and the port runs well.

1) How's the handling compared to the 2008 GRID? 2) How much of a pain is it to unlock the other liveries, the ones that say rare/legendary?

handling is quite similar but feels heavier (good thing) liveries seem to be unlocked at random so you just gotta play and get them as you go along, or the objectives cards at 6:03 will detail which tasks that will unlock liveries
