Our 2nd attempt at doing a podcast with our special guest David Choi! Also, thank you for your podcast name suggestions, as of now we're gonna stick with OFF THE PILL Podcast because it got a lot of upvotes on the last one and I have no idea what else to name it. Cool? Cool.

RarestFerret2 It's just sometimes KZbin is biased with who and what to demonitize. But yeah their point is correct.
@Roy-ml5fn
@Roy-ml5fn 6 жыл бұрын
RarestFerret2 yup. A lot of the people going into KZbin now see it as an opportunity to make money. Whereas way before people did KZbin just because they had fun doing it. The people on KZbin now are trying to find the best opportunities to make the most money. And that's both old and new KZbinrs because of the demonetization issue. That's why you see now people trying to make their own brand. And this is why you don't see that friendly relationships anymore that Ryan was talking about. Everyone is trying to sell merch and to expand their brand to the point where they don't wanna associate themselves with others.

Next time, can you guys talk about what happened to YTS. I remember back when you, Chester See, D-Trix, Kevjumba, Andrew and Victor Kim use to be best friends, but then out of nowhere you guys stop hanging out and Chester has not been in any video of yours in the past 5 years or so. I grew up with YTS, loving Nice Guys and Bromance, so i've always wondered why things turn out the way they are now.

Victor had to go home to his family due to some issues, he kinda left Quest too. BUT he did send a vid to RHPC when they celebrated Ryan's 10th year anniversary in YT. So he might still be in the loop, not just on cam. D-trix, after ABDC, kinda took a hiatus from Quest and that's when he did his KZbin stuff. After a while, he went back to Quest and doing more dance stuff and he stayed in LA, and Ryan is in Vegas, so frequent collabs were difficult. Chester is doing theater. He was in Broadway(if I remember correctly) Dtrix went to visit him during a vlog. He's doing more serious music away from YT. Kev went away to do huminatarian work(?). He kinda shifted gears after YT. They still meet up every once in a while I think, coz there are some videos where they hung out(Disney vid). I don't really know what happened to Andrew and JR Aquino tho. I think they still do music, as they were originally inclined to music. I know those because I love YTF too, loved Kev and Ryan in videos together, loved those impromptu songs with Victor Kim cause I love spam, so I kinda research what they are up to once in a while. That was the legit golden era of YT. Ryan and Kev pulled the others upward, it was legit collaboration.

Closest I’ve gotten to lucid dreaming is realizing it was a dream, asking one of the people in my dream about it, and the person saying “of course it is, took you long enough to realize.” Then everyone started laughing like it was the funniest shit in the world.

Cecona I’ve had several encounters like that and even one where I think I did lucid dream for a second or two before waking up however my most recent one was the creepiest. I was eating dinner with my family and I was sitting next to a recently deceased family friend. I felt something was off but I couldn’t remember he was dead. Then I realized it and asked the guy “hey wait a minute, aren’t you dead?” then the guy just disappeared and the whole dream just exploded and I woke up.

912sonic yup. It was like less than a month since I saw him at peace in his wake too. Guess my subconscious forgot that he’s gone and inserted him into my dream. In fact for second I even thought maybe him being dead was just a dream then I started remembering more details. It was pretty shocking when I did.
@Cecona
@Cecona 6 жыл бұрын
RCBM Mines that’s really interesting! I haven’t had a lucid dream where I realize someone was supposed to be dead. However it’s a common theme in my dreams for my dad, who passed in 09, to be either alive, sick, or hiding. There is always something wrong.

I miss the old youtube so much! It was so simple and if you clicked on a video you could keep going and find the most random things that you either loved or shared along because why not. Also comparing youtubers to artists or entertainers is fairly accurate where you work for yourself but it's up to you to jump through the hoops of the platform you are trying to use. You have to work with each other to make it.
@zipity2782
@zipity2782 6 жыл бұрын
These guys are mature KZbinrs, that are taking a thoughtful look at life. Now take KSI and Logan Paul who literally sell their fake drama for fame and money which inevitably send the platform into and even deeper hole. You can really see the to two sides of the diverse coin that is *KZbin*
@blacksheep5183
@blacksheep5183 6 жыл бұрын
I think the difference is that Ryan/RHPC posts video to express their creativity and to entertain us viewers, they've been consistent in that since they started doing youtube. You can see their passion. While, KSI,Pauls,Ricegum, etc(You know who they are). they just post clickbait-y videos with no substance and gears toward being famous, and once they have their audience, they continue doing it because they know they can get away with it. And I think that's dumb. I mean, if they do that and they can't generate money from it, I have no problem, but if they get money by doing their thing. Now that's something.

Nah being Lucid in a nightmare makes it not-scary. I was once dreaming I was running away from all of these zombies but my legs were going really slow and I realised-omg im dreaming Ugh! So i literally stopped in the street and everything was so comical. "lol these zombies are even slower than i am they'll never catch me, I know I'll pinch myself to wake up" Literally go to pinch my arm and watch it DISSAPEAR so I was like.. godammit.. guess I cant wake up.. welp I guess lets see where this story goes *continues to run. But the longer into the dream the harder it kept getting to run and I kept thinking dammit my blankets have probably wrapped my legs up uggh. When I tried to think about waking up it was exhausting like running that last bit of a marathon so I'd just give up and stay in the dream (cause i was actually really tired). Eventually I did manage to just shake my body enough to wake up aha.

+Crystal R I see it the same way +Indrani Ray does and personally I haven't seen many other podcasts, but that's just because I usually don't really like podcasts. I love Ryan's videos though and think he's an incredibly interesting person, that's why I would legit watch a ten hour podcast of him

This is probably my fave series thus far! My dream was always to meet you in real life and listen to you share your thoughts and views on things in general, but the only available events for that were "fan meets" or "large gatherings" that they charge such high prices for and you only get to talk for 30mins and answer really generic questions. I love how this is like an interview without an interviewer asking typical questions but it's really touching on what it is that is on your mind. Please keep this series going! (:

Ideas for next podcasts (more like inspirations because I love that you guys don't follow a specific topic) 1 - Saw this in a comment and I think would be really fun: Have Sean as guest and talk about your childhood/teenage years (especially now that we know you guys went ghost hunting - we need more stories lol) 2 - Life advice: ask people on twitter about situations they're dealing with or a topic of which they would like to receive advice about. 3 - the future 4 - conspiracy theories EDIT: more ideas and thank you all for the likes ♡ 5 - asian pride 6 - college stories 7 - what's on the news 8 - music

I could relate to Will's excitement from flying in a dream. I've only had it once, maybe close to 10 years ago. It was probably one of the best feelings I've ever had, and that feeling was brought forward to real life; it lasted for a couple of days just thinking about it. I just felt so positive, excited and happy after that flying dream. It was also one of the most vivid and realistic dreams I've ever had. Would love to experience it again, I've tried, but it never happened after that.

I loooooooove David. He was one of the first people I subscribed to a million years ago when KZbin was fresh. David, Rhett and Link, and Vlogbrothers. 2007 or something. And he's been consistently genuine, hardworking, sweet and has never let the KZbin game get to him. Also he is hilarious and his music is heartwarming.

I actually enjoy how the recommended and subscription feeds work now. Personally, I don't need youtube to suggest videos from the people I'm subscribed to, because I can see them myself through the other page. Recommended page helps me find new stuff.
@ThallanarRabidtooth
@ThallanarRabidtooth 6 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Some people wholeheartedly believe that there is no way to see their subscriptions and the videos they post, and only see them based on random chance. When I go to my recommended feed, I see videos from people I'm subscribed to like 5 years ago. I hardly see any new and relevant content. Go to the subscriptions page, it's all there. People who complain "The subscribe feature is broken!" when they make that statement coming from the recommended feed are idiots.

Ryan has only had two episodes of this podcast and people are already asking him to collab with people.... I hope he doesn't to be honest. Ryan's channel has never been about collaborating with others. I prefer the podcast to be just him and his friends, talking about random stuff. I don't want them to collab with people they barely even know, like Shane Dawson and Ethan. That's actually literally what they talked about in this podcast: people collaborating with other people just for the sake of collaborating (and maybe gaining something from it). If that's Ryan's mindset, I really doubt he will get Shane Dawson on the show. With Jenna and Julien, that's a different story. But I really don't want this podcast to become a basic "All youtubers welcome" podcast.

Name well for me personally I think it would be interesting for him to make a video with Shane who believes in ghosts so Ryan can see his side . Also , Shane isn't about getting anything from others and actually gives them so that wouldn't be a problem . He actually just wants friends like Ryan so I think they would get along well and become close friends

100% agree with you. Collab-ing with people just for the sake of "omg look Ryan and this other persona are doing a thing together" just doesn't sit right with me, and probably wouldn't with Ryan either. That said though, I'd love to see a BgA edition of the podcast.

Sleep paralysis is like this safety switch being turned off too late. Its the thing that keeps you from thrashing or moving when you are dreaming and hurting yourself but gets little delayed in letting you regain control of your body after you wake up

....and sometimes your minds wake up early and you see your surrounding. Sometime you come out too early and awaken at 3.2. the spooks have a hard time manifesting in 3.0. but they are often roaming in 3.2. If you can rise up, or come back early...you can see them.

Beyond lucid dreaming has anyone ever had a dream and woke up after it and thought the dream was real. Once it took me like a full couple hours after waking up for it to click that the dream I had that night hadn't actually happened. It's a shame because in the dream I basically sorted out my life and asked out my crush all in one day. I almost sent her a message in the morning because at that time I believed the dream had happened and we were dating. It was a pretty crazy experience. Don't know what you'd call this but it was pretty cool. I've lucid dreamed a couple times to but this is by far the weirdest dream based experience I've had. Another experience I've had was I suffered from a repetitive dream for a month or so which became increasingly common. I basically was in my bed, heard bells ringing and footsteps coming into my room and eventually I was suddenly grabbed and woke up. One day I had the same dream and realised I was dreaming so just before I knew the footsteps would reach me I ripped off my cover and swung for it. Ended up grappling on the floor with some werewolf like creature before it just disappeared and I woke up. I've never had that dream since.

Uuuh the ghost story I got chills from that. Also I used to be able to lucid dream but do never anything cool. I would just realize that I'm in the dream and carry on the dream. Also a way I heard you can lucid dream is that you write a letter on your hand before you sleep. If the letter shows itself on your hand in your dream you know that you're in a dream and become aware that you're inside a dream.
