Wow. Rae talking about her dad and his battle with cancer, made me sob. I lost my mother in law a year ago to cancer. I've experienced a lot the same things that Valkyrae has with the loss of a parent you care for. I was a carer for my mother for 4 years till she passed just over 6 years ago. I had a total breakdown from the stress of dealing with it - no help from my older brother and sister whilst caring for her. Now 6 years later and I'm still a mess. I'm, not allowed to work, I live with my brother and his wife who is both mentally and on rare occasions physically. It is very hard sometimes to deal or cope with depression and anxiety. I too have considered ending my life, but it's my mums memory that always drew me back. Gaming has been an amazing anchor in life over the years. I applaud Valkyrae for being so open and honest about this matter in her life, and wish her all the best for the future (if she ever reads this).

I can relate to Valkyrie's time taking care of her dad. My dad has dementia and I am his care giver. I'm still relevantly young so I have to balance taking care of my dad but also work on myself. There are ups and downs depending on his mental capabilities but spending time with him as long as I can while he's still physically here. Annnnddd this is why Rae is an amazing personality and icon she’s literally all of us! That insecure nerd that thought they had to be something their not to make friends then end up not really ever making friends because you hadn’t learned to love yourself properly. She’s the goat man. Side note her tiny self sitting cross cross applesauce I’m the chair is just so on brand 🤣😂

The part about our childhood's affecting us so heavily... It hit me once again when Anthony said it takes effort to pull yourself out of it, cause although I'm aware of that I just don't know if working through it is something I can carry. I've tried for so long, and at this point it's just like the help I need is never coming and even if it will eventually, what will it change?

The day my Dad finally passed after being in a coma for 4 months was the first time I felt like I could finally breathe. At first I was overjoyed that he was no longer in pain but after a few hours it hit me like a ton of bricks, Rae’s right about thinking you’re prepared but you can never anticipate how you’ll feel until you’re there. Love you Rae🖤

I love Anthony’s comment about addicted to stress. It’s true. As a therapist I’ve pointed it out to some of my clients before that even tho stress and anxiety sucks it does come with some comfort because you know what to expect when you’re stressed while when you’re at ease there’s some fear of something going wrong

Rae, you are so sweet and strong and brave! Your experience with your dad really resonated with me as I currently take care of my Granny who is 87 years old and has later stage dementia. She doesn't remember who we are and always gets upset with me trying to change her diapers, clean her up, etc. It is so heartbreaking watching someone you've loved your whole life deteriorate and forget who you are and how to do everything. People who haven't been in that situation wouldn't understand how physically trying and emotionally devastating it is. I'm glad you got to spend your father's last days with him though, and that you can share experience with others to help people in the same situation to not feel alone. Wishing you the best, you deserve it! ❤️

Rae. You being open about the loss of your father is the only reason I got through losing my dad so traumatically over so much time. I found your streams as he got sick and you put a smile on my face. I watch you because I know you’re genuine and I appreciate you more than you could ever know❤️

The good thing about rae is that she had some bad times in her life but she doesn't let that moments define her so she streams with energy and happiness to the viewers to show the beauty of life and I see myself in her that way, because like everyone I had and have bat things happening but I choose to win my battles and then be happy about it and spread that hapiness like her

You should do "I spent a day with lucid dreamers" Lucid dreaming has many benefits including: Euphoria Facing fears Getting better at other skills Getting rid of recurring nightmares More inspiration Learning more about yourself Solving problems Higher self awareness Plus it's really fun and feels like real life most of the time. It's one of the best experiences you can have

lucid dreaming is NOT therapy. it can easily turn into an unhealthy, obsessive coping mechanism. dunno if that should be promoted.

Rae had me crying the entire video, like yeah, we’ve both had our ups and downs, and both of us fell into like a depressive state. and we’ve gotten out of it. She’s helped me through most things, her streams are me comfort place. Even though she doesn’t know who i am, she will never know how much i love her, and how much she’s a comfort to me. I love how she’s so open with her background.

It's really interesting that totally normal human beings can be so amazing. There's not necessarily anything special about her. Yet she is special. She's funny and energetic and kind-hearted and incredibly beautiful. She wouldn't have drawn in so many people if there wasn't SOMETHING about her. But it wasn't pre-determined. She's been through rough stuff, she's still trying to grow, and she has to constantly deal with people questioning her height. So I feel like people should look at her and feel better about themselves, because if someone as relatable and normal as Rae can be so awesome, you can too!
