In my experience it was so worth telling my bestfriend that I had feelings for her. Thankfully she did too but it was very noticeable. We'd flirt and started opening up more over time. FAIL HARD FAIL FAST. Had this in HS with a good friend. I liked her and she liked me but the timing was off. She eventually got with someone else. I confessed to her but it was too late by then. @@tammas1728 he did from the beginning and I didn’t want to believe him because I saw that “friend” as a brother. That’s how comfortable I was with him. And then literally a few weeks to a month later we’re on the phone and I’m blabbing away about how happy I am with my now husband and he confessed his feelings towards me. I was so angry at him and I told my husband that he was right all along. I lost a very “special” person in my life and it was the fact that I lost that friend and the fact that I was lied to.

I've had this experience before: me and my gf (now) were like best friends for 5-6 yrs through HS into university. She liked me the whole time and I didn't develop feelings until later. It was always a brotherly-sisterly relationship. When I eventually realized my feelings I decided to shoot my shot. Now it's been 9 yrs and we're still together. On the flip side I had a friend who liked me, she never confessed or asked me but it was clear. If you're good enough friends you eventually move past it. And years later, I was one of the groomsmen at her wedding. We still joke about this from time to time and it's hilarous. In summary, just go for it!

If you ever want anything more than being a friend to the other person, you should never start as friend first. Shoot your shots right away. If she said y’all only known each others for a few days, give one week and try again. If she still say the same thing, move on. Most likely she just not attracted to you physically. I agree that you should always shoot your shot and ask. Keeping it a secret is going to kill you. That being said, im confused why they were all saying the friendship has to end once its said. If you're both able to set boundaries with each other and move forward from the situation, be it rejection or acceptance, then it's totally feasible to continue a friendship. But i guess im a bit different than them because I am never attracted to someone until I've developed an emotional connection with them.

Yet, again, Ryan and Kalyne have been friends for years and see each other on a regular basis. And Tim C. has been friends with other women for years, who then also became friends with Chia later. Also, people can be friends without hanging out everyday. Bart and Joe are best friends and they don't even hangout together everyday. None of them are adulterers so they wouldn't commit adultery. Bart and Joe did hang out everyday when they were younger but they're older so there's no point anymore. I doubt Kalyne and Ryan hang out the way Joe and Bart did. David texting Chia is a red flag. I would never allow my girl to text a man like that. You also forgot Tiff and Casey, who met because of JK and now they're together.
