Heenan is one of the guys that I didn't fully appreciate growing up. There was a great interview he did right before his throat cancer battle that has since been removed from youtube :( If the guy didn't find his way into wrestling he would have made a great comedian. Just an all around awesome dude that (knock on wood) has beat the odds against throat cancer. Thanks for all the years Bobby, all the best!

He definitely was. He was one of a kind. There'll never be another 'Brain'. Loved watching him and Monsoon go back and forth when I was a kid. They were a legendary comedy duo. My brother and I still quote them. "Will you stop!?"

Bobby Heenan is by far the best heel commentator / color man EVER!! Plus he was by far the best manager ever. He gave whoever he was managing instant credibility. Which isn't something that is easy to do. I really miss seeing him on TV every week.

I miss all three of these guys. All three of them rank among the greatest talkers wrestling has ever known. I miss Piper's insanity, Bobby's wit, and Gene playing the ultimate straight man. I grew up watching the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression era, but although these three were all elder statesmen even then, they're my heroes more than pretty much anyone else. RIP Piper, Brain, and Gene. Good people. You are missed.
