The top is very pretty. I’ve been looking for a top to make for my sister, not to plain, but not too fancy. This is perfect. She is petite, so I will have to find out the length to use. A nice cotton blend would be pretty in olive or a purple. Thank you! I’ve commented on several channels that their work is lovely, but I’m disabled and more or less homebound. I need something pretty but practical. You hit the nail on the head.

i absolutely cannot say enough good things about your channel, patterns, and projects! they are so practical and user friendly, not to mention creative! while the typical crochet bralette is cute.. it’s really overdone and not practical for everyday wear for myself at least. i love that you design cute WEARABLE projects. so grateful for the time and energy you put into these videos and i hope you continue to grow your channel 💗

Hey, this is a superb tutorial! Did it perfectly on my second try, with the first one i messed up where i dtart the new row and it looked really wonky. But i was wondering how a long sleeved version would look. Do i just later on add the yarn at the side of the arm and keep doing rows until its finished or is there a different method? Thanks a lot ❤

Hi, I was watching your video and would like to make this Sage top as my ever first project. I listen to your instruction on how to divide the stitches for the front neckline, both sleeves and the back neckline. My question is: thus this procedure applies to all sizes when dividing all the stitches for the neckline, both sleeves and back neckline? As long I will chain in a multiple of 6? I am looking forward to hearing from you. I am excited to make my first project this year. The last time I made a sleeves crochet top was many years ago as my school project during my High School days. Thank you very much in advance for sharing your ideas and techniques on how to make this Sage Top. I am excited and can not wait to make this top.
@madebycoral Жыл бұрын
So happy you’re making this top as your first project🤭 Yes, as long as you chain in a multiple of 6 you should be able to follow the rest of the directions to make the top to your sizing! Let me know if you have any more questions:)

i’ve been trying to make this for like 3 days, have started over 4 times, bc i didn’t realize you were using thinner yarn and none of the comments mentioned it either. i tried to use the same sizing as in the video and ended up making the chain 96 and it’s still too big 😭
@phoebecraddock2536 Жыл бұрын
Is the back shorter in terms of less stitches than the front. Just wondering because you said place a stitch marker on the 21st then count 40. Then 20 again.
@madebycoral Жыл бұрын
correct! in my experience this helps the top stay up better but still have a wider neckline. Because it's crochet the top is going to be stiffer then if it were knit, so this accounts for that.
@Madiiiiiiiii3165 ай бұрын
I tried to do this but for some reason the back of my raglan is all loose and not fitting I made sure the stitches were correct and the front and back are the same but the back is all loose and looks weird how do I fix this
@noramaqsood3963 Жыл бұрын
love this top!! how would you adjust the pattern to make the sleeves a little longer like half sleeves?
@madebycoral Жыл бұрын
You can try crochet along the top of the arm hole, slip stitching at the arm pit!

You would crochet without decreasing until it hits the fullest point of your bust, and then follow the decreasing instructions. Hope that clears it up!🫶

omg same n im rlly late to this but I just skipped the first slip stitch she did in the video n only did it after I made my first row and it went pretty much the same !
@michellenash68027 ай бұрын
If you’re talking about the foundation chain is twisting, which will cause the next row to also twist… If you chain 5 or 6, pull yarn to make the loop bigger from last chain. Pull hook out, then place the hook in the knot end where you started the chain and slip the side where you stopped chaining. Here you want to make sure the chains are lined up the same direction and not twisted (which is easier to do w just a few chains on your hook). This will keep the chains from twisting and at the end, just slip-stitch into last chain and start row one as normal. If you don’t understand, type in YT search ‘how to not twist foundation row chains when joining’. There’s several videos on how to do it. If after doing this, ensuring that it not twisted when joining the chains, then either you’re not fully untwisting which can happen if you’re chains are not even; or you’re twisting it as you’re putting in your first row of stitches. Either, go through the same 2 strands from each chain stitch, or use the back bump on the back of the chain stitch, whichever is easier for you to identify.
