wow, I think this is fantastic. UNDERSTAND, SILVER HAIRED..that NOBODY...no one else is doing what you are doing. IT WILL be educational for people who study this and read that. THANK YOU for forwarding the importance OF OUR HOBBY. Comics throughout the times, when studied, are important. Look at the way women and certain social issues were portrayed in comics, ESPECIALLY SUPERMAN and in Superman and Lois Lane comics!

Very cool SHBAB! University special collections are incredible things which most people are unaware, even those who attend those schools. I received a post-graduate degree from Illinois State University and they have a large, if not the largest, collection of circus and related arts (carousels, side shows, carnivals, etc.) in the world. It is absolutely mind blowing when you see the collection of posters, tapestries, programs, photos, etc., etc. and it makes you feel wonderful that someone, at some point, thought it was a good idea to keep/collect these items for future generations to learn from. I know Michigan State University is supposed to have one of the largest comic book collections in the world as well. Well done!

I’m an MSU alum! Since they already have everything I went looking for an institution that could slice the topic a little closer to the bone!

@@silver-hairedbronzeagebabe2524 Go Spartans! Have you ever had a chance to view the collection? I saw a news story about it years ago and then saw a few videos here on KZbin, but I imagine it is quite the site!

🤔A very overdue study IMO , Babe. Your participation and collection involvement are very important to the subject. If they at the University are not aware do tell them that Trina Robbins wrote a book on Women In Comics. They should also note that recognition of female cartoonists / writers has long been a neglect when documentaries have been produced on Comics. The ladies of Fiction House like Ruth Roche , Lilly Renee , Fran Hopper are never given appreciation nor are Ramona Fradon , Marie Severin and when it comes to comic strips I have yet to witness appreciation of Marty Links ( Bobby Sox later renamed Emmy Lou) , Edwina Dumm ( Cap Stubbs and Tippie ; IMO one of the greatest boy and his dog entertainments) , Gladys Parker (Mopsy) , Dale Messick (Brenda Starr) and many more. The University should also read issues of Little Lulu and Harvey's Girl Comics : Little Audrey , Dot , Lotta, Wendy to see pre adult women's liberation in action. The group at The University have undoubtedly heard the demeaning term The MSheU broadcast on comics channels but it should be noted that there was a Timely period in Marvel History where a She presence was present - the post war years : Namora , Madelyn (Miss America) Joyce , Sun Girl , Golden Girl , Venus , The Jungle Girls , Millie , Nellie, Patsy ... Romance wasn't the only genre women adventured in they also were active in Westerns , Crime , Espionage , Humor , Sci-fi , Horror. Love and Rockets by the Hernandez Bros also has a cast of leading female characters that would be of interest to The University. It isn't just about acknowledging comic books as worthwhile reading and artistic significance it's also about understanding attitudes and acceptances that came before and those that are currently accompanying diversified creative involvement. Yes , indeed Babe you are in the forefront of focusing attention on female involvement in comics not just as creators and creations but on correcting the erroneous assumption that girls only read funny animals and romance books because other genres were above their appreciation, oh really? Tell that to my M❤M , who introduced me to comics and who supported my devotion to the hobby.

That's so great that you accomplished this goal. Congratulations. I think that is such a cool idea. If you send some of your Lois Lane's I hope they are duplicates. I'd hate to see you break up your full run.

there's only one Lois book and it is, indeed, a duplicate! Thanks, Magic!!!
