I was watching another Channel Our Wyoming Life and he was talking about round bales and how to feed them to his cows on some different kinds of situations and I suggested he might look at your channel and what you did with your new round bale feeding stations. The most gratifying thing that I could say to him was that you had received plans from yet another KZbin farmer that worth of help to you.

That winter pasture is a beautiful piece of property!! Nice video Tyler and you are so right, slow and steady wins the race because if they think it is their idea to “go” then you win😋. Seems impossible that in a few months it will be calving time again. If you got as much rain as we did that pond will be filling up quick, plus, we are supposed to be getting some rain off and on all week. Stay safe and well till we see you next week. Thanks for our bonus video, sure appreciate all you efforts.

That first laidback Herford spoiled you, Tyler. If they were all that cooperative, it would make it all go smoother right? But you did a nice job to be by yourself, and the winter pasture looks like it has plenty of grazing for a while, and the cows are content for the time being. Another nice video. Thanks

here in Australia, I use the same ear tags as you...even same colour. My tags are by All Flex. I found that it's important that the marker that you use to write on the tag is either made and supplied by the ear tag manufacturer or is compatible with the tags. The writing using non compatible pens will fade away in no time. So be warned!!

We use the Ritchie two piece tags for our cows. You have to use an engraving tool to write the number, but the number never fades. The newer tags just don't absorb the ink the way the old tags used to.
@Davidraisedsimmentalcows.

You do an Outstanding job with handling your cattle. Years ago we went with blank ear tags that you could write numbers on and they worked very well in that if a cow lost a tag with the printed tags you would have to change numbers . Hope everything continues to go well for you and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year To You, Your Wife, and Family.

how do you catch tehm on winter pasture, is it just a portable corral? i would love to see how your fence system is set up to work them into a chute, maybe from a drone and slowly talking us through how you have it laid out. i have to find a differnet ear tags system. from switching from dairy to beef. i think i am just going to order so many colored. then change colors every year. my steers love ivy plants growing on the exterior fence.. they will take a electric fence shock and climb up on it to be able to nibble on it. i went through and cut teh summers growth all the way back, the other day
