Thanks, another great video, although I'm not getting the connection with the American Civil War. You'd have to be a hell of a shot to hit Gettysburg from Marbury.

I did ponder this myself but just decided it was an interesting attraction and left it at that :)

Good morning from New Zealand. As an ExPat from near Coventry, I really enjoy watching your video's, as I get to see cars of my youth and the thing I miss the most the good old English country side. My parents lived a good life and enjoyed their cars, and seeing the Lancia Fulvia and the Capri brough a bit of a tear as my father had a Ford Capri 2Ltr Broadspeed Turbo. I've been trying to find the rego of a car my father had to see what happened to it! It was a Barker bodied Daimler convertable which had been converted into a hard top! The instructions had been, "so a gentleman wearing a top hat could sit in the back seat". It had a fluid flywheel and rod brakes and was serviced at Daimler when they were still in Coventry. My father had (I cannot remember seeing it) a 1930's Invictor, which I was told scared the crap out of his mother. I enjoy your calm voice while you present your videos, great job and thanks.

Hi Richard (great name), thanks for watching and I'm glad the videos are of interest etc. The Invicta sounds fun.

Another very interesting vid, My first car was a Morris Marina 1.8 sdl the same as the Blue one that was for sale, It was in a very fetching colour of Tundra Green which just happens to be the colour of the lovely ‘P’ reg Mini that you saw parking up. I very much doubt that VUR 660M is still on the road but all in all a lot of memories jogged for me so thank you. Great to see an Avenger Tiger as well. Great stuff 👍

A super video that perfectly captured the atmosphere of a classic English fete. Some fine cars too. A distinct air of Dad's Army about the Civil War re-enactment, or should I say Pop's Army. The Pilot was looking splendid and I have to admit that after initial doubts I am gradually warming to the whitewalls. Thanks for sharing your 'day out'!

Thanks, yes the idea with this one was to not just be about the cars, but also the other stuff going on

A very enjoyable day out I think. The Ford Pilot was looking splendid and you did a good job on the dashboard.. She will need another clean once you get home as I saw mud on the tyres after the parade but never mind. The 1950's Bentley was lovely as was the AC Ace, a very nice car. Plenty of Minis representing the Mark too. I also enjoyed the fly past and the radio controlled planes were very nice. All in all a nice relaxing day Rick thank you and thank you to Harley for stepping in with the camera work. 👍👍

Thanks Stephen, yes a bit different to the norm not being a car show, just an event that had a car element to it

Hi Richard . As much as l enjoy the big shows I do enjoy the smaller ones . You can spend longer looking at the car and talking to the owners . Oh! And the pilot is looking very pucker ! Thanks Richard

Thanks John, yes a small show can be welcome after going to a few of the larger events

Yes definitely smaller scale, and as a result a lot more laid back in a way

I'm glad you chose this meet. So many unique cars there. The Pilot was looking great, but that AC Ace was spectacular! I have to say that I was confused when I saw US Civil War enactments at a UK event though. As always, great coverage and quality, thanks.

I love events such as these, I have just checked the Marbury Merry Days website and although quite a distance from me it is worth keeping an eye on for next year There is a lot of work involved getting these events ready which isn't always appreciated and they should be supported. .The Pilot and I share the same birth year and are the same age, amazing actually that we both have survived.😊 (No comments please).

Hi 👋 What a nice day out for you guys. I like your Ford Pilot , she came up good after the wash. When I think of bakerlite I think of my mums cream coloured bakerlite radio she had in the kitchen of the family home. They were popular in the 1950s. Good turn out of cars. I like the 1966 Bond , we never sold them here in New Zealand. Is that a old church in the background ?. I like old architecture and buildings. I'm following a couple of British guys and there channel where they travel to different parts of Britain and record stately homes. Ming blowing places that they record. I'm gasping while viewing their channel. Nothing like some bagpipes being played. We have a Scottish Bagpipe groups competition each year in our square in Palmerston North where I live. Very good video Richard. From Carl. 😢

Lovely show, lots of variety of events. I thought the Bentley Type R was a beauty but the star of the show for me was your Pilot!

Thoroughly enjoyable. There's nothing quite like a village fete and at times it was like watching an episode from a Midsomer Murders mystery.

Gosh, even a fleeting glimpse of the mysterious Mrs OCC! Looks like a terrific local village fayre. Plenty going on. The pilot looks better every time we see it, those subtle little improvements and touch ups. Was that a Hurricane (or replica) flying over?
@oldclassiccarUK7 ай бұрын
It was a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfire, there should have been a pair of them but the other succumbed to gremlins in the works apparently.

Alphard not at all rare. Place in Wigan imports dozens of them and my mate’s business converts them to lpg making their 3lt engines cheap to run. Similar to the Toyota Elgrand which they also import.
