Have a XX and was debating between a speed and a turbo R…went with the Turbo R 4. Loving it.

@@OffCamberInd a lot of similarities between the XX and the Speed. My XX is noisy, squeaks, clunks. Clutch engagement can be abrupt, not a easiest to crawl as you really have to commit. But absolutely bombs the rough stuff…I catch everyone in the rough. If it had more wheelbase it would kill in the whoops. Looking forward to more rides with my turbo r and the live valve.

I really wish speed would have went with a locked t-case. I am guessing having a center differential might be faster for desert racing but for rock crawling it just sucks. You really need the power to the front wheels to climb and pull you over things.

Why didn’t you guys but it in low range with the front differential lock? Speed UTV is very low geared in low range to keep the RPMs much lower to keep torque to the wheels. Unfortunately it sounds and looked like it was it high range and with out the front diff locked.

Fair simi review I’d like to know the front end issue wonder if it had something to do with the torque limiter and the 35s. I also feel like the style of cv the speed has makes it noisy. I had and xx and I was a little clunky but not as bad as the speed seam to be it also has a different style of plunging axle. Curious on how you guys rate the speed at high speed rough terrain I know my xx was awesome in the rough stuff.

We didn’t get high speed seat time before it got too dark, so that will need to be a part 2 in October. At high speed I think it’ll impress us a lot more -Royce

I really wanted Robbie to knock it out of the park with the speed. 4 wheel drive problems ? Transmission issues ? Front suspension squeaks galore ? Shifting problems ? Such a shame. Polaris pro r over this all day. The can am is goofy looking and fragile ( check out Rich Rules breaking the can am on flat ground ) .

I haven’t had any of those problems on mine #193. Suspension and trans have been great. You just have shift into 4wheel before you plan to wheel

We touched on it a little. We wished low was a bit lower. Seemed to have a higher rpm engagement - maybe clutching could lower that a bit

Thanks fellas for the content. If I can elaborate on just a couple exceptions based on what I’m seeing on YT. I don’t like the seat height from factory. I also don’t like the squeaking from the suspension. I’ve seen all of Nicks vids with this Speed and one thing I can’t ignore is the squeaking coming from the suspension. Not sure if it’s all Teflon lined but it doesn’t sound like it. Thanks for the honest review. And once again thanks for the content. Do y’all have a Patreon?

Turbo R, Pro R, KRX all do great stock clutching on 35s. This Speed hasn’t had clutch work

@@OffCamberInd my wife's can am haha. I mean watching it through the whoops I was impressed. I won't take away the good aspects of the machine. The interior layout is nice. I love the dash for sure. And I'm sure he was still learning the machine. I just wasn't expecting to be able to walk away so easily once we started duning in the larger bowls and walking through the transitions. I personally want a 2 seater version one day for sure.

I just don't get why anybody would by a speed over a RZR Turbo R,the front is ugly and it seems like it has alot of problems plus I don't know how long they're gonna be around,I love watching these videos and I always come to the same conclusion that a two seat KRX that can be had for about 22k new is the best machine out of all of them and its half the cost which leaves alot of money left for upgrades.

The speed car seems a bit too high geared for rock crawling. No way will the belt last very long rock crawling. The car is probably better suited in the open Desert or Dunes.

Is chupacabra paid by speed or just cnn? I herd that specific utv of his broke a front Diff, Axel, drive shaft, blown motor, lots of belts, had to buy upgraded brakes, claims it’s fast but same hp utvs are faster by a long way. there is a lot of shake in the hydraulic steering, had overheating issues but doesn’t really mention much of these issues?

Love the title with the question mark in it because i saw one attempt to rock crawl at toll booth ledge and it didnt go so good. That thing sounds awful its a whoop/desert queen thats it. Krx for rocks, yxz for track, talon for trails, x3 for dunes, speed utv for desert and RZR does it all in my opinion just not the best but you said there is no well rounded car i disagree my opinion but i think your Turbo R is well rounded along with my Pro Rs. Btw you guys should do a video on the devils cauldron if you havent already. Cant believe he had to upgrade the brakes to put 35s on it 😂

Frankly, I felt the Speed was way to clunky and surely this brand new car has front diff engagement issues. I've seen 2010 cars that are quieter than that. I remember when Ryan was "going to get" one of those Speed cars.....is that still the case? Yeah, not the best showdown for the Speed. But that driver was terrible. Tries to get up the rocks straight up on the highest part and without an angle, both tires starting in front of the rock at the same time. 4x4 seems not to be engaged.
