The season is over and so it's time to experiment. This time I wanted to try a thin, slow anti like the A-B-S 3 obviously on a fast blade.
Great combination for those looking for good control despite the high overall speed.
The deep push is definitely the strong point of this combination. The ball is very difficult to counterattack.
Spin reversal is decent. On the other hand, the ease of making short blocks is excellent. This makes it possible to keep the opponent on the defensive.

Is the spin reversal of ABS 3 good? Gonna try it this June, shifting playstyle from Chopper to something like yours or Luka Mladenovich.

As I wrote in the video description the spin reversal of A-B-S 3 is decent. It is not its best feature. It is one of the best choices if it is your first anti because it allows you to learn a playstyle similar to mine or Mladenovic's with maximum safety. 😉

I’m a beginner, playing for few months. I have the Sardius blade. Not sure if I’m an attack or defense player, but mostly play doubles game. What anti rubber do you recommend (1.3, 1.5mm?). Thanks😊

Yoo Andrea. I'm currently using max. Hurricane 3 on FH and long pimples 1,5 on backhand. Im not sure whether I actually like the long pimples. The main thing I like about them is the ability to make these annoying slow floating chops and blocks. Maybe anti is better for this. What would you suggest for a backhand rubber that totally kills every speed? Would I need a fast handle? Which one? Thanks in advance! Also: What kind of inverted rubber is best to combine with long pimples and/or anti? I have sticky Chinese rubber now. It's amazing for round spinny serves and loops, but seems not so controlling

Recently, a lot of manufacturers have been releasing long pimples with damping sponges (Ilius, Monkey) so a thicker sponge = slower. With regular sponges it's thicker sponge = faster. If your blade is already slow than OX pimples are a good option combined with something like Dignics/Tenergy or MX-P. If you have a fast blade you can use a long pimple with damping sponge, other setups are hard to control. And combine the blade with a medium hardness rubber.. Hurricane 3 with 1 layer of booster is perfect. Personally I use Xiom Icecream AZXi blade with a boosted Battle 2 40° and a Sauer &Troger Hellfire X with a custom dampening sponge of Der Materialspezialist dampening sponge (1.5mm hard sponge). My playstyle is looping/topspinning on FH and chop/chopblock on BH and occasionally twiddling for a BH attack

If you ask for a personal opinion I will always say that the best sponge remains the pink one from Spinlab because that is the one I have been using for 8 years now, but there is no absolute best one. It depends on personal preference.

nice video from you again you are still a big role model for me although I prefer grippy antis even if it's difficult to play with them. this season i played with a grippy anti aif ser forehand and with a long pimple on the backhand it was a lot of fun and made many opponents despair. You kind of gave me this idea, I want to thank you for that and I won't change my play style. Thank you.

Hey Andrea! I play with Tenergy 64 on BH, but now i would like to try something new, antispin for example. I play with a balsa carbo all+ blade. Do you think that the Anti can work on this blade or should I buy a new one? I can’t decide between ABS, ABS3, Barna Super Glanti Original, Barna Super Glanti Attack. Can you help me what are the differences, advanteges and disadvantages? Thanks!

Does the 1,5 mm version have more reversal and disruption than the 2,0 mm one on this blade?

The 1.5 version is slightly better in aggressive pushes because the thinner is more reactive. Spin reversal is weak on both 1.5 and 2.0 on Cybershape.

It seemed that the ease of use, spin reversal and consistency are all better when you use the 2.0 sponge version on the same blade, based on the eye test..😄

There are no major differences between the two millimeters. Aggressive pushes come better with the thinner version. The thicker version gives you that little extra control and inversion.

non conosco giocatrici di serie B così forti, se intendi la femminile. Credo che sia a cavallo fra la B e la A2 femminile.

Contate che non ho messo gli spezzoni dove era lei a fare gli schemi. Tira ben più forte di me, di rovescio é una macchina da guerra! Gioca fissa in A2 femminile, quest'anno con il 75% di vittorie su 15 incontri. Può tranquillamente fare una B2 maschile.
