I would definitely recommend PNPT for the Course work ONLY. Then take CPTS pathway to expand your knowledge that TCM doesn’t teach you. Take the cpts exam, then go for the PNPT. I say this because their external is very theory based and if they would use real compromised names instead of the ones they used on that website. Their external playbook would actually make sense when taking the exam. Felt like I was playing a guessing game for 4 days. Then I would go CRTP to understand power-shell & bypassing AMSI then OSCP.

You do not need to take cpts, pnpt, crtp, before oscp lol. Literally overkill. Cpts is 10x harder than oscp btw
@B1G_LILАй бұрын
@@CloudNexus1I agree. Depending on your career path you can go anyway. You gain more experience/ knowledge regardless.
@0x3_SecurityАй бұрын
Very true, it is 10 times harder. However, I did that due to the training, especially with people being on a. Budget the CPTS pathway training is 10x better than OSCP's training.
@0x3_SecurityАй бұрын
I agree 100%. However, certs are becoming more of a requirement in the job market, especially if you go the consultant route.

@@0x3_Security This. I don't think some people's statement of "ohh, why the overkill/over-preparation of learning X only to pass Y exam?!" makes much sense. 1. It's to make sure you PASS the exam. 2. I don't see how it is "spoiled" or "made pointless" if you "git gud" first with course/exam A and then pass exam B. (instead of B and then A) AS LONG AS YOU LEARN THE SKILLS, what does it matter? If you want a challenge, there are literally dozens or even hundreds of Labs and Pro-labs on HTB, that can then be done WITHOUT guided mode/write-ups/walk-throughs as a challenge for the OG-Hardmode "bang your head against the wall - experience"! If someone likes the hardcore "fail until you pass" masochistic way of "gitting gud", then please, do OSCP without any other external courses/training, just with the 3 or 1 month course/lab access. But please don't complain about having to pay ~1.500$ for every exam attempt plus hundreds of more $ for extended course/lab time.. 😅

Passed my PNPT during summer, been applying like crazy but no hits on employment for me. I work as a soc analyst, currently studying for CRTP want to do bug bounty and CRTO next.

Don't give up on applying and networking. It won't happen over night.

I did the PJPT which was an awesome exam!!especially someone new to the field,would love to do the PNPT but due to the exchange rate,it's too expensive for me..Busy going through the CPTS
@0x3_SecurityАй бұрын
I would definitely do that! Their training is very good and thorough.

@0x3_Security Yes I agree and what I like it's real world,not CTF'y

What do you think about INEs eJPT and eCPPT? I know that the eJPT misses out on AD and Reporting, but I am curious if those Gigantic Video courses made by Hackersploit (~150h for eJPT and ~100hrs for eCPPT) are worth it? eJPT with 3 months is 249$ (same like PJPT) and eCPPT with 3 months is 599$ (100$ more than PNPT) Any Input if the courses and respective Exams are "worth it"? I guess eJPT for the absolute newbie with the long 150h course and the eCPPT as a PNPT contender/supplement?
@0x3_SecurityАй бұрын
I haven't looked into those, especially when there was the acquisition, and have heard through some people that the training went downhill. I'm not saying it's true, just what I was told.
@JakartaMaxАй бұрын
@@0x3_Security Hmpf.. Well, that is of course exactly ALSO what I was told/what I heard that years ago. But as the takeover or merger was back in 2019, I think the current/new Video course made by Alexis Ahmed(Hackersploit) is relatively new and with a whopping ~150hrs quite .. big. (afaik no AD and no reporting in the ejpt tho, only in eccpt). I was just curious as AS FAR AS I KNOW, hackersploit is a very well known respected experienced guy in the field? (I think the old course/material was about 50hrs long or so)

I took and passed the eJPT in July, I liked it. You’re pretty much just looking for answers to questions and a few dynamic flags but nothing crazy. Worth it for the price. Only complaint was that they update the course in real time so there was no “completing” the coursework prior to the exam.
@JakartaMaxАй бұрын
@@zendangered Thanks alot for your input! 😊😎🤘🏼 Did you do any of the often recommended related THM or HTB machines along the course, or just "watched the course"? Thx 😊

I have taken the CPTS exam recently. How hard is it compared to OSCP? P.S. I got 14/14 flags on CPTS
@0x3_SecurityАй бұрын
Congrats on passing it! It's a lot harder than the OSCP [10x] as most of my friends say they would hire someone with the CPTS over the OSCP any day. However, the OSCP is still the standard today.
@sulemanrehman6384Ай бұрын
@@0x3_Security Ahh okay! Thanks a lot. I guess I have to take the OSCP then xD Gonna take a while for HR to realize that OSCP is not the only cert that exists lol
