I want the lead to opt in, after opting in he should be presented directly with a thankyoupage the I specify, on the email he receives he must get the direct link to download the file. Right now it is not working this way and we have to make the lead jump trough multiple steps.

How would I create the scenario where the ONLY way they can get access to my free e-guide is if they have actually filled in and submitted the form? What's to stop people from sharing the link with others so they can by-pass the signup form? Also, how do we make a form responsive? My form looks great on a desktop but not at all on tablet or mobile.

Hello Harbour Dog, unfortunately, it's impossible to stop people from sharing digital downloads, as just as easy it is to share URLs, it is possible to share screenprints etc of the file. With that said, we heard Netflix is onto something to stop customers from sharing access, hopefully, they have a solution for us all soon 😊

Hi there Erv. Thank you for your kind words! And yes, that is possible. If you are using a MailerLite form, you could assign a group to it. You can have the 'when a subscriber joins a group' trigger so whenever someone signs up to the form, they get added to the group and the automation will be triggered. Alternatively, you can also use the 'when a subscriber completes a form' trigger, whichever one you prefer. Hope this helps! 😊

Okay, I got all that. Now, I have a freebie and I don't want all from my current email list to have to go through a landing page and sign-up again with their email. I was told that I could just send existing subscribers via my email directly to the THANK YOU or SUCCESS Page so that they get direct access to the freebie without signing up (after all I already have their email address and I don't want to have two of their email addresses). Is that possible in MailerLite and if so how?

Hi Patricia 😊 For existing subscribers I recommend you to use second method explained in the video - Automation. Create automation with a trigger When subscriber joins a group > design an email with download link > then trigger subscribers in the trigger group manually help.mailerlite.com/article/show/29181-how-to-add-existing-subscribers-to-a-workflow I hope this helps ✨

Hello Andres, it is not possible to add attachments to newsletters mostly because viruses are often sent via attachments, causing many Spam detectors to not accept such emails or send them to the Spam folder. It also affects the speed of sending and the deliverability of your campaigns. Hi, are u able to exclude people from viewing the download link, that are not on my emailing list. Let's say someone shares the email with a friend but the email is only meant to be for subscribers. Or some sort of double check by the system that checks if a person is on the subscriber list?

You can suggest this on our Feature requests page, and if it gets upvoted enough from other users, our developers may consider working on it 😊 In the meantime, you can experiment with external tools, such as one-time secret onetimesecret.com/.

I've created a pop-up form, double opt-in and thank you page in Mailerlite. I then integrated it with my WordPress site. I have a free PDF I have linked in the Thank You page. When testing, I added my own email and I do not get a double opt-in email. I also noticed my email is not being added as a new subscriber. What am I doing wrong? Does the PDF need to be hosted somewhere?

A subscriber fills in pop up, gets the double opt in confirmation and thank you, then I have entered my Landing Page. Therefore they are filling their name and email in again?? I am confused

Hi there Jane! So generally your freebie can be put in your thank you page. If your landing page is basically just for sign ups, there's no need to add a link in your pop up form to your landing page. You can just add a link in your double opt-in thank you page to where the subscribers can download the freebie (which is hosted somewhere else if it's a file). Hope this made sense :)

Looks good. But why not offer the option to let the end-user upload the pdf document directly to that button, or what have you, inside MailerLite? This saves time and possible errors when the Google Drive file doesn't work or got accidentally deleted. Convertkit offers this option, and it's very intuitive. First impressions of your tool are excellent, though! I'm creating a review video about your software tool so please keep an eye out for that one! :-) - Robbin

You can put a link inside the button pointing to wherever the document resides and therefore they will be able to download the document straight from the button.
