I received my All American Sun Oven (thank you so much for the 70.00 coupon!) and I was finally able to use it (cloudy the first week). I made Chicken Paprikash (it's like stewed chicken basically) on top and rice on the bottom. It came out perfect. It only took a little bit longer than usual when the sun was strongest. I had considered the other oven because of the 2 pots side by side but because of the temp limitations because of the plastic door, I went with the All American with the glass door. I'm glad I did. I also make cookies and they came out great. I lost track of time & they came out crunchier that normal but we just made ice cream sandwiches - perfect :). Thanks for showing the bread. I'm going to try that this weekend. Again, thanks so much for demonstrating this & for the discount coupon!

Love the sun oven! It has a thermometer - not a thermostat. A thermometer only measures the temperature but a thermostat regulates the temperature.

I am very interested in getting this oven. I had a question though. My family always fixes 2 pizzas every Tuesday. I was trying to figure out if this rack could cook both of them at the same time in this? MULTI-LEVEL DEHYDRATING & BAKING RACK SET. This is from the solar oven website. I know this would be very useful for most of the things we can fix. I would love to cook up a huge pot of beef stew in this!

Hey Stacy, thanks for the info about turning the phone sideways when I make our videos. Anyway, I use my sun oven all the time. I am just not sure that I have it tilted correctly to capture the most of the suns rays. Is there a secret? I made sourdough bread today. Thanksgiving turkeys are so tender and juicy. I bought the solar oven. I have the other kind but is much more difficult to use. I have to remove the reflector and find a place to set it down then unhook the over in two to four places find a safe place to put it then take the lid off my pan to check on the foodthen do the reverse to continue cooking this looks so much more convenient. I use both a sun oven and the sport oven. Both have their advantages but you misrepresent the sport oven. It does seal and can be used in heavy winds even with the reflectors. I like my sun oven but it's useless in even light winds.

When you dehydrate food in the sun oven, does it take more than 1 day? If so, How do you keep the food from spoiling overnight, waiting for the sun to come back up? In electric dehydrators, you may have to dehydrate food for 2 or 3 days. How can you do that in a sun oven?

How beneficial is the white sun indicator box that helps you line up the box to the sun help since the sun (or should I say earth) moves considerably even within an hour's time? Is it really all that helpful?

I guess we got screwed! We didn’t get any trays or racks except the one that swings. Heck! Ok. Just received another box with the other racks in it. So I’m happier. But we didn’t get the two latches that hold down the door. I thought they were supposed to be on it already.
