And at the end of the sketch when he mentions it (very nonchalantly) to his friend, his friend is also nonplussed. I thought it was a slightly low key way of demonstrating the strides that north american society has made towards being accepting of other people's sexuality. Obviously still a long way to go. But the kids are alright.
