This is based on an animated short by Mike Judge. The same guy who made Beavis & Butthead. The actor playing Bill Lumberg did a perfect copy of the voice actor in the short. Milton too. Realest movie ever. Mike Judge is the creator of Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill, of course, and this movie is based on one of his older cartoons. The cartoon was called (surprise!) Office Space and features a miserable employee named Milton and his annoying boss Bill. The cartoon is only a couple minutes long and ends with "TO BE CONTINUED" after Milton threatens to set the building on fire. The movie finally completed the cartoon.

After letting me work from home for 16 years, long before covid, we were told we had to back into the office. At first I went to an area with cubicle walls over 5 feet high, but after about four months were told we had to move to a different area with low cube walls, about three and a half feet high. For my taste it too bright, too loud (as the sound carries over the low walls) and you don't have a specific desk, you're a nomad and just have to take whatever is available. We've got one guy that likes to use a wireless headset/mic and wanders around while he is on a call. This is supposed to foster community and camaraderie and all I can now think about is how soon can I run out of here.

I think Milton is number one in the list of secondary characters who completely stole the scene; I remember when this film came out, and for about a decade afterwards whenever the topic of a stapler came up, you would definitely get laughs if you said something about a stapler in a mumbly voice (btw, the red Swingline stapler was custom-painted for the film, but so many people wanted to get one after this film came out that the company started making one in red).

16:50 when I was working dominos we had to agree to new wear our dominos uniform or logo in any other pizza chain, such as papa John’s or little Ceasars unless we wanted to be fired. A contractor at my previous plant mentioned they were under contract with Cargill to never hire a Cargill employee for 2 years after that employee left Cargill. I love non-competitive agreements in employee contracts. Yet Elon Musk gets to be ceo of 4 companies and has a near guaranteed cabinet position in trumps second term as an efficiency expert (even after firing a bunch of twitter employees and tanking that platform) all because a last minute (2 days before Election Day) finical endorsement of our next president. Got to love how business and government are no longer hiding the fact they influence each other in the USA anymore. Merica!

This is one of the greatest comedies of all time IMO. Writer and director Mike Judge also played Joanna's boss. Another must see Judge film is Idiocracy. I stars Luke Wilson, Maya Rudolph, Terry Crews, Dax Sheppard and also features David Herman (Michael Bolton) and Steven Root (Milton).

I spend a great deal of time in a cubicle similar to the ones in the film. It is a secure office so whenever someone is coming in, the electronic lock makes a loud CLICK sound. I have actually been awakened by that sound while sleeping at home.

The Office - The Movie. Big fan of t *The Office* specially the german version of it called *Stromberg* which is at some parts even more viscous. First episode he as the second boss, he tries to get a better parking spot and ruines the life of a guy in a wheelchair, who could help him with that, just for this parkingspot.
