This song was not made for a movie. The movie is called Johnny Got His Gun and came out in the late 60's. It was an anti war movie. It's about a man that goes to war and gets hit by a bomb. When he wakes he finds out that he has no arms, no legs, can't speak, can't hear, and can't talk. He's trying to tell the people to kill him. And he remembers his dad telling him to communicate by banging his head and doing SOS. This song came out in the late 80's.

When it was over, I didn’t want to move, I didn’t want to do anything. I just rolled over and went to sleep. I can still remember how I felt. Metallica was against doing any sort of videos, until this. When they did a video they wanted it to be more than just some generic crap. I’d say they succeeded.
