This is an amazing job. It's the video I always wanted to create. I see it as "The De-evolution of Officer Ben Sherman." Southland is amazing in how it tracks Ben through five seasons, first starting off as an idealistic caring young cop to a cynical callous shell of his former self.

What a great video tribute! I’ve been a Ben McKenzie fan since his OC days and started watching Southland when it premiered on NBC then on TNT. He’s a very underrated actor and kills it playing complex characters like Sherman in this show.

Such a great character study of Ben Sherman (and a great tribute to the mad acting skills of Ben McKenzie). Really nice editing job and it's so wonderfully thorough in exploring Ben's arc. Thanks for taking the time to make this - it's so nice to have a vid that follows Ben from the first season to the fourth - his journey is so heartbreaking and fascinating.

First off, I want to thank you for making videos like this one! I live in the UK, and I'm a huge fan, but Ben and Southland aren't as big, so it can be hard for me to keep up-to-date! The editing of this video is incredible, and it's clear how much hard work went into making it so beautiful. It really showcases how phenomenal Ben's acting is, and the different elements of the story are woven together so perfectly in a way that I would love to see on the show!

Wow, this video is amazing as usual! You have really gone above and beyond, showing all the characteristics of Sherman perfectly. The choice of soundtrack goes perfectly with the scenes that you depicted and the special effects are amazing as well. Ben McKenzie's acting is phenomenal and he deserves an Emmy. It would be really nice if the writers would focus more on Sherman because he is more entertaining to watch than the other main characters. I can't wait to see what S5 has in store for Ben!

I forgot to mention earlier that Ben is a great actor and your video really shows the depth and talent that he possesses. I'd really like to see his character developed a little more on Southland and see were Officer Sherman goes in Season 5. I don't want to spoil anything for those that haven't seen Southland, so I'll just say that they picked a great actor that will do an excellent job whichever direction his character ends up going.

This really is great! I honestly appreciate fan videos more when they delve into the story of the character or just the story of the TV show/movie in general. Sometimes we tend to overfocus on flashy effects and forget the point. I'm SO guilty of this usually. lol. I think this is a lovely take on him. You really got into everything from start to finish of where we are today!

That's such a brilliant introduction to the video. You introduce it as the story of Ben Sherman but link it to real life. I especially like the typewriter sound effect ;) I enjoyed how you changed it up by showing us longer clips sometimes in between the scenes with music. And you always choose the most intense Ben facial expressions to freeze on! His inner turmoil is just written all over his face. He doesn't even need tears or words to express it. What an amazing actor :D

I couldn't have done it without the subtle nuances he adds to the characters ... the facial expressions and body language and all of that so I hope I was able to do him justice.
