Some thoughts from a former Player, Coach, Scout, & Referee: 1. LOVE his North/South style of running! No wasted movement & ALL cuts are upfield. Because of this I think he has real potential at the next level. Many of these guys with so much talent grow up being so much better than everyone that they develop bad habits & try to do too much. Usually they are doomed with this style when they try to play in the NFL (Barry Sanders & Saquon Barkley are the ONLY ones I've seen have success like that - obviously an exception to the rule). 2. Vision & Burst; in addition to bursting upfield at the right moment, he also "runs to daylight very well". What this means is he sees defenders in his peripheral vision and runs away from them (upfield). This may seem like common sense, however, many people simply can NOT do this. It is because where you LOOK, you RUN! So people at EVERY level, but especially younger RB's like high school etc will actually run right INTO the defenders when there was a HUGE hole somewhere else! They are so worried about getting tackled they aren't looking anywhere else. 3. Patience & Timing; The perfect compliment to the above, he knows how to wait for his blocks to develop or even sets people up at the secondary level himself, then BURSTS upfield! Very difficult to coach this kind of thing. He seems to have a natural gift there 4. Strength & Balance; This one surprised me when I first looked deeper into Travis. I assumed (incorrectly) he was just a "fast back" and had great blocking. But constantly, he is running thru arm tackles & carrying defenders for an extra 2, 3, or even 4+ yards! Again this may be another, VERY important attribute to help him at the next level. There just isn't gaping holes in the NFL & they close QUICKLY!! So sometimes the very best move is just to put your head down & get whatever you can! These types of "small" plays can make all the difference at the next level as a drive starts with 2nd-&-7 and opposed to 2nd-&-10 or 2nd-&-12. To me, NFL coordinators are horribly UNcreative so you already know where they are going after starting with 2nd-&-10. 5. Improvement; I keep wanting to say each skill is most important, but this one probably TRULY is...especially at the next level! The very very best did not start out that way. They honed their skill over years, and hours & hours of hard work & dedication. Small sample: Antonio Brown, Aaron Rodgers, & Tom Brady - & many others. Travis's last game against Alabama he looked Stronger than ever! He MUST be working hard in the weigh room & developing his skills! The future is bright for this young man. Very excited to watch him this season

@johndorsey71656 жыл бұрын
Marquis Lester is he coming out for he draft?
@JLewis955 жыл бұрын
Michael Remschel Actually it's usually better to be short for a rb so you can get through those holes. I do agree about the weight though. Probably needs to add 15-20 lbs. Although Christian McCaffery, Devonta Freeman, and Jamaal Charles aren't very big for a rb.
@one_of_wun5 жыл бұрын
Michael Remschel most RBs are 5’9-5’11 he’s short at all. Alvin Kamara is 5/9 3/4, Mark Ingram is 5’9, Christian McCaffrey is 5’10, Philip Lindsay is 5’8. Etienne is the ideal size for a RB (5-10/5’11, 210-220 lbs), being a real tall RB makes u a bigger target and is easier for players to tackle cuz of ur long legs and high center of gravity.
@FailedSpec3375 жыл бұрын
Michael Remschel hes 5’10 200 with a thick base? Hes damn near the same build as alvin kamara and look how that turned out. He also runs with a really low center of gravity and low pad level.

@shawnso42256 жыл бұрын
Kamara doesn't have his speed.
@Tigerfan-qx2xq6 жыл бұрын
I have thought the same over the past 2 years of watching him run. The difference between the two in my opinion is Kamara is more finesse and can really hurt you in the passing game while also being elite running the football. Etienne seems to have more power and finishes his runs more like a every down back. Travis has lacked in the receiving department over the past couple of years with dropped balls etc. If he can work on catching the football and adding a bit of finesse to compliment his power and ungodly speed then he will be a very accurate comparison to Kamara if not a better version of him.

Dear Sports Enthusiast, Are you a basketball fan who wants to learn more about the game? Do you want to coach a basketball team or perhaps get your child into this sport? Or perhaps you just want to learn about this sport so that you can play yourself? If so, then you need a tutorial on basic basketball principals from youth leagues to the NBA. Basketball has been around for well over 100 years. Although it is a game that is associated with the United States, it was not invented by an American. A Canadian fitness professor invented the game as a way for young men to keep fit in the cool weather. Although it is played outside on basketball courts, the sport is an indoor sport. If you’ve been following basketball leagues today, you will see that there are many leagues all over the world. Indeed, basketball has become a global sport. The rules and regulations are pretty much the same for this sport in Argentina as they are in the professional teams of the NBA in the United States. And the rules of basketball, although slightly modified from the late 19th century, have not changed all that much. What if you could find out all there is to know about basketball inside one easy to read eBook? Do you think this would work for you? Sound too good to be true? It’s Not! Imagine being able to shoot, score and win the basketball game in your local neighborhood! Imagine being able to ace your school’s basketball tryouts and become their most knowledgeable and dependable player! Imagine learning what you need to know now to begin a career in professional basketball! Imagine learning everything you could ever want about basketball basics in one, simple eBook? What if I were to tell you that you will learn everything you need to know about basketball in one small eBook? That you could read this easy to read eBook and then be prepared to coach a team, instruct a child or even be more informed about the game so that you can better enjoy watching it on television? It sounds crazy, but it is really true. There is such an eBook and you can pick up a copy of it today.===>bit.ly/2EAFpz8
