@@JonathanWinbush yeah, but not for beginners. After having recorded the sequence, I can't see animation curves, nor easily render out these movements to a video sequence. It seems like these vcam recordings are somewhat a 'shake' layer on top of the virtual cam actor "actual" camera. Is there any tutorial on your channel that explains the whole thing up till the rendering the baked movement to the video file?

Good to see a company realizing that not everyone uses an iPhone. I was just wondering if I could use my phone as a camera in Unreal and I saw your video in my KZbin suggested like it was reading my mind. It feels like there's a trade-off balance with the phone vs tablet. The phone will be more nimble, but the viewing screen on the tablet will be much better.

You'd need a seperate camera for that you can't film with the phone while using it with the vcam

Hey, I tried following your guide but everytime I try to connect my phone to my PC's private network IP on port 80, it says failed to connect. I checked all IPs and they are right. It should only use the private network right? I also tried adding my phone's IP to the static endpoints but it didn't work either. Maybe I missed a firewall setting or something? Alright I got it! It was a firewall setting under the incoming connections section. You have to allow them (obviously) xD.

Adding the virtual camera works great, however it absolutely takes over and ignores any of my attempts to tell it to Stop Piloting. Deleting the camera seems to be the only working method, however I would rather not have to do that every time. Am I missing a persistence setting somewhere? I'm currently working with UE 5.3. Never mind, I finally found it. In the "Details" panel, under "Virtual Camera", uncheck "Enabled". When I want the camera back, I check "Enabled" and it comes back.

It's easy to make natural camera moves, but I think virtual knob is hard to control like play a game on the smartphone.

It makes the new sequence in the folder so each time you add a new recording it'll make a new sequencer for it
