My E-Ride Pro SS is totally street legal, its registered as a moped along with some wireless turn signals from amazon. I did buy a USB splitter to 6 outputs to plug in all 4 turn signals with the transmitter all you need is (5) 3ft Micro USB cables to plug them all and last I added a Brake Free LED Brake Light to my helmet from Break Free Technologies. You can register it as a moped and you do not need insurance to register it. Prices on an ebike like this for insurance is $200 bucks a month. @@user-vc9sd5fq6j

I am looking at one used, how does the turbo mode update work? Only newer 2.0 controllers have no turbo mode? Or all 2.0 can get updated to not needing turbo button? Like by plugging into a computer to update?

Get one bro, you are going to love it. I believe that new software is for the 2.0's right now, they may be trying to develop a software update for the earlier models that still have the turbo button feature. Basically on the 2.0's you no longer have to hit the button to get that max peak power. Now it's all in the throttle.

Mine makes a pretty noisy and high-pitched whine when I'm cruising along at speed when the motor is not under a big load. It's pretty dang quiet when you're going up a gentle hill but if you're almost coasting along at 20 miles an hour it's pretty loud.

Yes, very true lol chain and belt drive/motor do have some noise to it. I hear there is a way to adjust your belt to decrease noise. I will try and touch on that on a new video coming out where I talk about the little flaws the bike does have.

@@metalofthedeath thank you for that. I did read about that. No, it is definitely the motor whine when the belt is not loaded up on the chain, i.e., coasting along at speed is where it makes its noise

Turbo button doesn’t work on any of the newer ERide pros

That is correct, they took that feature out with the newer models. So now in sport mode you get max power without having to press the button. Which, is WAY better.

Taxes and shipping cost pushed me toward the MX4. Close to a grand cheaper when you take that into account.

i would take the talariah mx4 just for the power that doesn't cut every 10% and the gearbox with no belts

I have has 0 power cut off with the bike. Power is smooth all the way through on this bike. Yeah, I agree don't like belt drive for the motor but you can upgrade and go chain drive.

Just comes with tools, owners manual and charger. The frame does have a vin on it so if you install the proper equipment per your state regulations and insure it, you should be able to go and plate it/register it at your local DMV.

i barely get 30 miles on mine ......... everyone please MSG chi battery systems and EBMX to make a 76Ah battery for pro SS....i have , twice .....more msgs the faster they will make them

It depends on how you are riding for sure. When street riding and just doing wheelies I can ride all day. I’m sure if you really moto it in the dirt it won’t last as long.
