I agree, wasn't able to stay in my seat. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but it is nice to see the NH teams finally catch up with the SH. Wales did get trounced by Australia in the autumn but we look to have bounced back, and of course England are world champions in the making!

Indeed, other than making them believe in themselves Eddie Jones has also helped most of the England squad become very professional in their conduct. Unfortunately our coaching staff are insufferable these days.

I remember when I watched this live and Daly had just skinned Cuthbert on the outside to score, seconds after Farrell converted an annoyed sounding announcer comes on, announces the score and begrudgingly says “happy birthday Tyler Reese”. 🤣

2:40 fantastic angle, as Liam Williams looks like the obvious target to receive the ball here, whereas the play is confusing on every other angle previously.

Michael Cartwright I think Wales beating England is a sweet victory for wales just the same as it is for England when they triumph over wales. If wales’s whole rugby identity is based on beating England then why do they win grand slams fairly frequently and over achieve at world cups. Sometimes I feel England fans like to think welsh fans believe beating England is the be all and end all but like gatland said earlier this year “ it’s only England” and then shortly after that press conference wales beat England. It can be quite irritating when you see England vs New Zealand in the semi final of the World Cup and lots of brazenly biased pundits and supporters saying that this fixture should be the final as they are the two best teams in the world. After a brilliant victory by England you then have matt Dawson saying that every player in the England 23 are better than there opposite number on the South African side who they are due to face in the final. So after saying he wouldn’t trade one England player for a South African they then get beaten by 20 points to South Africa. I think England might have done well to trade a few players for South Africans for that final and maybe keep a lid on there arrogance in future too. If the whole welsh rugby identity is depends on beating England well they have beaten England twice this year so Wales’s identity must be in a pretty good place. Wales won’t be smug though... they leave that for England

@@derithomas2052 The English do not care half as much as about Wales as Wales do about beating England. What do you mean winning grand slams fairly frequently? Wales won their first 6 nations this year in 6 years, which is half as long as Gatland had been in the Wales job!! How many other top coaches would have been allowed to stay in a tier 1 international coaching job after 6 years of not winning anything? Gatland has had some appalling results over the years with Wales. They could lose every game, but as long as they beat England the coach gets to keep his job and that's the way its been for the last 30 years. Its a total lack of ambition. The Welsh always bleat on about ''punching above your weight'', yet you're a similar size to New Zealand and they have dominated for the last 10 years.
@derithomas2052
@derithomas2052 4 жыл бұрын
Iam Beowulf what I mean by wales winning grand slams “fairly frequently” is they have won four since 2005 which compared to England’s one and Ireland’s two in that time I think qualifies for the statement “fairly frequently”. I have used rudimentary adding skills and my workings out have shown me four grand slams are certainly more than one and two for that matter. My argument is, if wales’s only ambition is to beat England then how on earth would they win more grand slams than the other teams in Europe over the past 15 years? Winning a grand slam involves beating England, Ireland, France, Scotland and Italy you see for wales you see. Wales didn’t just beat England and then put there feet up for the other fixtures because they beat the others too which would have taken a lot of motivation. Clearly you don’t like the praise Warren Gatland has received in his tenure but he is has been pretty successful by most people’s standards and that’s why he is continually being selected as lions coach. They don’t pick a shit coach for the lions do they.

good game england. haters are saying it was Cuthbert's poor defence which let england score the last minute try. but really it was Jonathan Davies. who couldn't kick out the ball and stop the play. it's funny Wales couldn't hold on to the ball for a couple of minutes and they would of won.
