Recently repaired a iPhone for my friend after she took it to a shop, and no that is not a typo. She had several issues with the phone one being it turned on and off, the proximity sensor, mic, front camera, speaker, etc wasn't working. I took the phone apart and the "repairer" just skipped 18:13 because the damn thing was still in the phone, I had a headache and it made it worse

Thank you very much for very clear instructions, video zoom, and showing every step clearly. There are many videos but yours is different because you put emphasis on the screws and showed it in the video correctly. This simple thing after doing the very hard and micro fixing, could have spoiled all the hard work. Your instruction and video shows clearly which screw goes where. Thank you very much for sharing your experience with youtubers. Great job. I gave you a thumbs up.

You should be wearing gloves and safety glasses. Damn thing could explode. Some of you take things too far. Static mat, static wrist band lol are u serious? I've replaced maybe a hundred lcds on all kinds of phones and not once have I f'd up a phone not using "anti static crap". This is comical lol
@Sror3d7 жыл бұрын
I know LMFAO static strap!
@_DeeAyePee6 жыл бұрын
The strap is to protect the device's circuits from the over voltage that can be supplied from a static discharge. By grounding himself to the mat he can ensure that any static built up during the process will be safely channeled away from the device. Static can be generated by hair simply moving underneath a T-shirt in colder drier climates. It may seem like an unnecessary measure but I can tell you from personal experience, there is nothing more frustrating than finding out you just wasted every minute you spent working on the device because you broke another part by not taking the proper precautions. I used to share your mindset but having to do a repair twice has made me wiser over the years.
@sarahs77514 жыл бұрын
I use to fix cell phones af work and they took all of that antistatic stuff very seriously. They walk around and check to male sure everyone had the wrist band on and EVERY single morning before we started we had to hook it up to make sure it was working. When the phone company's sent trainers theyd enforce the idea too. I dont have any antistatic mat or anything so i hope if i can fix this nothing goes wrong. Right now im so disappointed with these crappy little screw drivers they sent me..

So this doesn't void my warranty... And you are licensed by Apple? Don't call your videos official
@beckycorley65137 жыл бұрын
Stoney_Eagle Try not to take things so literal man. It doesn't matter if he is licensed by apple or not just because he used the word "Official" That doesn't mean he is an official IPhone repair tech. I would assume he is stating that this is the COMPANIES (ICracked) Repair/How-To Video. It's difficult to be approved by apple to repair devices and it not void your warranty. I only know this because I am a approved 3rd Party Apple Device repair tech. Which means when I do ANY REPAIR WORK and you bring in your device later on for whatever reason your warranty won't be void because I did the repair. My point I'm trying to make is just because his Video Title Says "Official" your the one assuming and insinuating that this guy is saying that this is How "Apple" repairs them nor does he at any point that I can remember does he AT ALL claim that his repairs Will or WILL NOT Void your warranty. ALL HE IS DOING IS SHOWING YOU OR WHOEVER NOT ONLY HOW TO DO IT YOURSELF AND WHAT TOOLS YOU WOULD RECEIVE. BUT HE IS ALSO SHOWING YOU HOW EXACTLY THEY WOULD REPAIR YOUR DEVICE IF YOU NEEDED THEM TO DO THE REPAIR. Sorry about the long comment. It's just some people are so rude and un-grateful.
