Well you deserve more views than 5000. This was the best review on this game I've seen so far. It covered anything from the "alltogether ignorant" AI(loved that bit) to the level design and gameplay. As always very informative and fun to watch. Keep it up man! :)

I bought it for 60$ was excited, was going very well and liked the combat until..... :/ Was passing a bridge suddenly it fell down and I got stuck there and couldn't get out of that hole, the game won't send me to the last checkpoint or anything like that, wow. Lost around 40% of progress and playtime. Never touched it again until 1 more year I seen the dust on an old cover, while whipping it, oh it's the broken "Lord of the fallen" let me give it another chance, while reopening it I found a patch was already installed, logged in, omg I got out of that hole after 1 year being dead, continued from there and finished the game that I found quite enjoyable with a fun gameplay, combat and weapons, when it came out it wasn't ready with lots of glitches that made people rate it very poorly. Glad you got it free :)

i got it on pc 4 days ago and i am loving it... not because its like darksouls but because it also felt somewhat like darksiders 1 and 2 ( my fav action games).... it isnt that difficult but still if you are not careful u can die pretty easy. imo its v underated game...as it is a fantastic game and looks amazing too ( my r9 290x showed its true power at last)

Looks ever slower than Dark Souls. In DS, everything does a lot of damage, but can't take that much, so things tend to die fast. This game looks like it favors defense more heavily. Not a bad thing, but it seems like a fair amount of the game is wailing on a stunned enemy waiting for him to die as you stamina drains.

Honey Boo boo would have been a great demon type in this game. And i've seen some early review, and every one say the game is a bit crashy but the devs said they will fix this before launch, before tomorrow that is.

Hated this game. I'm a massive Dark Souls fan and thought this might be a fun alternative but the combat felt loose, sloppy and clunky and the input lag drove me insane. If you prefer a tank type character you may enjoy it more but for me it was a definite "banish" on the ACG scale.....but hey, one nerd's opinion.

I played all DS games, Demon Souls and Bloodborne included, and I actually kinda enjoyed this game. Yes, it's not as good as DS by any means, but it's not a bad game either.

The only issues I had were the occasional frame drops, terrible animations, light use of magic, half stupid ai and the bad voice acting. Combat felt very good to me. I could feel the weight of my gear and the slow moving meant you couldn't just rush through without paying attention. It felt like I was fighting an army that ramped up in difficulty as the game progressed and I loved it. The atmosphere, graphics and audio effects were just phenomenal. I just wish the game was longer.

This game was on my shelf 2 years after trying it ones. I give up ... mechanics are to slow,every move is like he has tone of metal on him,rolling so heavy (it's not because of heavy armor,I use medium). Month ago I started playing and finish it NG+. Good game but not close enough to D.Souls series or Bloodborne. It's simply different,confusing sometimes.

I did my first dive into the game, and I have to say I agree with all the plusses and AI being kinda...just existing, and although I had a crash or two it didn't make me rage. The game's environment is pretty serene, though it's due to me taking the time to explore rather than fight the bosses immediately. All in all, I'm all for the wait for sale option.

one thing i was really disappointed with is the armor and weapons yee they look awesome but the problem is, they all do. I think its kinda a must have for an rpg that the player start with a rusty bucket on his head and a twig on his hand. It kinda destroys the character development asset when even the shitties equipment looks like it belongs to the fucking Lich king... :l

I actually didn't have any trouble with shields. They seemed highly effective in almost any situation. I was basically a pure STR, END and VIT build.

The Magic aspect is actually useful but you have to invest in it, you need at least 25 faith and master the spells. I used deception on a rogue build and it did allowed me to beat a lot of bosses. The gauntlet with a fire ruin allowed to cheese a lot of enemies that were op. This game was built to favor warrior builds but the magic is not to be neglected as it can be useful

Again I love your objective view point on games! I especially admire how you noted how aesthetically pleasing this game is to look at. Admittedly, the color does this game justice, at least in my eyes. But, I have a question. You might be reviewing some of Ubisoft's game's this year, do you have any gripe to the 30fps lock up they announced?

Atomic Rebellion I do not have enough data about the internals of any company to gripe louder than just saying "I wish it wasn't so." Whenever I hear people talking with certainty about a situation in a company they don't work in, I just laugh at their assumptions. Would it be better higher? Sure. But I am playing games currently that drop lower than 30 so if ubi locked at 30 that is better than 1 game I am playing right that now occasionally drops to "8"

This game keeps striking me as the bastard child of Dark Souls and Diablo (in terms of gameplay and atmosphere/setting respectively). I can live with the problems mentioned here and am positive this will be a very serviceable game till Bloodborne is released.

You can unlock all the spells and some heal you or do backstab dmg vastly exceeding your normal dmg abilities while also stunning an enemy. You should have done more speel slingin.
