I think we all know what we’re getting with a Ubisoft game at this point, and either you like it or don’t. They’ve back themselves in a corner they can’t innovate too much without alienating current audience but hard for them to get new fans, it’s the call of duty of open worlds

On the topic about cheaters. As someone who almost only plays multi-player games. I'm with Abssii. Have them on a list where they can't play any other multi-player game. A single cheater in a lobby ruins the game for everyone. I remember in Battlefield V a sever with over 60 people would be ruined, because there is a flying immortal aimbotting loser who's killing everyone. Sadly cheaters will always win against anticheat developer. And they are getting A LOT smarter. There are even cheaters in consoles now.

Man gr wildlands is just so damn good still. I think the biggest thing they forgot to do in breakpoint was just make the game fun. It’s pve, might as well give players the tools to be overpowered if they want to.

As a modder, I have a problem with paid mods. The modding community has seen huge success due to most modders being very generous with their code. They either openly state anyone can use their code or they freely give permissions when contacted. I certainly do. But, I don’t want someone taking my code and charging for their mod, I don’t give permission for them to do that. I do _not_ need the headache of trusting people to pay me honestly and negotiating agreements. This is a widespread sentiment in the community, and we are already seeing the quality of mods drop as now modders have to tackle areas of coding that they are not so skilled at because they have to replace the code of others who know that area well. I can see a future for modding where modders get paid, but the average person who isn’t a very good coder could never hope to become a modder, reducing the quantity and quality of mods.

I'm not through the whole podcast yet and watching a bit now I can see his screen is flashing regularly. He's definitely doing something other than just focusing on the conversation. I thought he actually also said he was just doing mindless stuff when he said he was playing, which also suggests he's doing it while talking. Not that I really mind or anything... IMO definitely buy-regardless of whether you play it now or later on sale. Taking into account all the praise around the game - it’s a PS5 exclusive…despite Rebirth what other single player games are you gonna play that aren’t 3rd party games you can play anywhere else? If you’re going to just play cross platform 3rd party games-might as well play it on PC or Xbox it’s more consumer friendly there to play those games. Now if playing a hot android babe isn’t your thing then it’s simply not the game for you.
