In a future not too far from now, humanity has advanced to a point where the line between Homo Sapiens and Androids have blurred completely. This has occurred so that the species could survive. Technology has allowed humans to travel into deep space to colonize other planets and galaxies deep in the universe because Earth has become uninhabitable. One of the many unfortunate results of this robotic Darwinism is that human behavior and consciousness has also changed over the years. People have been trained to hate autotune so much they fail to realize that this is the one place where it's ok. Autotune gives people a robotic sound. This flim is extra robotic/high tech. Now if you have some extra organic film with someone singing in a forest. they need to not be autotuned lol

Here I am in 2023 coming back to this. Used to listen to it with my ex partner, I stuffed up lost her. But this song reminds me of the good times I had with her. It's an interesting confliction of memories and emotions. She introduced me to this song, even with the situation. I'll always appreciate this video.

Despite the criticism I have read, including the somewhat 'stereotypical' aspects of this video, I must say it is quite beautiful. I think the music suits especially well. The graphics are astounding as well as the idea behind this. My langue teacher played this on valentines days movie showoff thing in my school. It was in february, me being at very low state where i managed to only come to school on that day somehow. My head was full of thoughs then, until I heard the first few beats of this song. Im surprised that my teacher could show me something that great as this masterpiece, i will never get this song out of my head, it sounds so nostalgic and is so much my type. It brings me so many memories I yet not discovered or forgot. I find comfort in the melody, reminds me where things were peaceful and filled with no anxiety at all. It made me drop some tears, It reminds me somehow of my partner. thank you for posting this.

San Alexandru I was paying attention. The android (could be cyborg, I'm not sure) girl seems to be recreated from his imagination. The bubbles that are floating around him are his thoughts and since she was the main thing he was thinking about while the villains had him hooked up to the thing that was sucking his life force away or whatever they are taking from him, that main thought recreated her. But she's already dead and left on the battlefield, while he was taken to their facility.

The animation is great, and I love the concept, but the character design and the song fell kinda' short for me. The tune and delivery of the lines are kind of bland, and the clothing the angel wears just seems distracting and off-putting. It really detracts from the concept of idyllic serenity that I think they were trying to capture. I would have enjoyed it a lot more with a less scantily-clad angelic character, and a more interesting lyrical structure and tune, but that's just me.

It was trying to create a story and it did so regardless of the odd designs, I see it all the time among animators, just check out some other short films on youtube, you'll see.
