Named by BBC Radio as “One of the most brilliant world-fusion producers of our time”, David Starfire is known as the pioneer of the Global Bass genre, music composer for psychedelic therapy, and a VR and phone app developer. Billboard summed it up best, “David Starfire brings a unique perspective to EDM.” David is the creative director and head of music and sound at TRIPP VR, the #1 meditation platform for virtual reality, who recently released the Ram Dass VR experience, Journey. He has produced and performed music for psychedelic therapy at retreats with well known therapists including Sunny Strasburg, Richard Schwartz (IFS), and others. David helped to develop the TRIPP meditation phone app where he contributed music and was the main curator of the content.

i have a question. are you the ones taking down other ppl's ram dass lo-fi vids? bc that seems really mean. like i get copyrights & all but i really feel like ppl should be able to share ram dass' words & express themselves in whatever capacity they wish. it doesn't take anything away from you. 👍🏻 like, with love & everything. 💗 but sheesh.

Yes, who is doing that? i am heartbroken that a Ram Dass meditation that I have said daily for over 2 years was recently taken down. Someone had accompanied the meditation with a handpan (hangpan), and it became part of my daily ritual. And another fave of mine that is now missing is RD and the Bhagavad-Gita. I thought RD teachings were public domain. 😢

@JodyFidelis unfortunately not. everything he's written & said is copyright protected. it's just ppl trying to control the flow of information. which is pretty messed up imo i'm so sorry for your daily meditation disappearing, that sucks. for what it's worth, screen recording is a wonderful tool.

As devils advocate, I've heard people involved say it's to fund more and more programs or whatever. I'm sure there is truth to this, just as I am sure that all the people involved, successful authors and teachers, have been making a good living off of being part of all of this already for a long time now.

This comment is to peacefully protest the gatekeeping of RD’s lectures. Common complaints as clarified by the community on the Ram Dass subreddit are as follows. Removal of content, privatizing/licensing out content, copyright striking others who post content without replacing what was removed or providing another means to access the content. Restriction of what is released, cutting and editing pieces of full lectures and not releasing the full lectures themselves. Putting a paywall in place that provides access to still limited content. Access to content is overall severely limited compared to just a year or two ago.
