"The Black Death Mansion Murders" is based on the story of the Japanese mystery novel "黒死館殺人事件". You may see some shocking scenes, but they are meaningful expressions of the story. Fuki acted as important charactor in this video. And of course this is fiction. The novel is difficult even for Japanese people to read completely, but if you are interested, please enjoy imagining the story from this MV!

Jill's violin adds so much to the atmosphere of this song, as well as some space for her great solos - not taking anything away from the rest of the band.

This band makes me feel like I am discovering metal for the first time again... TOTAL FUKKING ALIVE!! Greetings from Sweden!
The original novel of this song is one of the three most difficult books in Japan and is called Antimystery. It is sia that people who read it go mad, and it is an extremely difficult work. Unlucky Morpheus did a good job. By the way, the author of this novel is Mushitaro Oguri. He died young the year World War II ended.

Oh my, no wonder I got huge Umineko vibe from this. Umineko also presented "antimystery" in some way and I find the genre quite fascinating.

Another example of the sheer musical and visual brilliance that is Unlucky Morpheus. As I watch, I am again reminded that every single one of them possesses a ridiculous amount of talent. I know almost no Japanese, but I don't need to know the lyrics in order to appreciate their music immensely. Having said that, I would love to see a concerted effort to gain a broader, worldwide audience. Accurate English subtitles and better marketing outside of Japan for starters. So much of the American popular music landscape is a wasteland of talentless, "cookie-cutter" performers. Thank goodness for the musicians from Japan and Europe for continuing to make music we can all be inspired by.
@jimmyzhu17412 жыл бұрын
I'm glad they're more active on Instagram and KZbin now. More English subs will definitely help and perhaps one day a tour in the west.
@Mark00032602 жыл бұрын
Look at the number of subscribers to their channel. Most Americans (and Europeans) don't know they exist. Japan is the second biggest record market in the world. It costs a lot to tour outside Japan and may not be profitable on it's own. They can make a decent living just on the Japanese market. Band-Maid is doing a small US tour right after Aftershock. Nemophila just did a show at the Whisky in LA that only holds 500 people. They will be back at Aftershock and maybe book more local dates. Who is going to front the large amount of money to get them touring in an age when the record business isn't what it used to be thanks to downloads and illegal copies? Now bands have to make money on the road. It is hard to do that when you play in venues with 500 people max. Do the down-list acts make very much when they play in festivals? Lovebytes was doing the European festival circuit before Covid. Has it helped them that much?
@akirakunzz2 жыл бұрын
@@Mark0003260 Sadly for a lot of people in my country(the old/middle aged people mostly...) japan = anime, otaku or stuff like that so they don't want to hear about japanese stuff. They miss insane songs and so many cultural elements but we can't do much about it., also i'm pretty sure it's something similar in others Europeans countries.

Great song once again, I loved what my ears heard, but I was barely awake when I watched it and that MV ending is brutal 😲😲. Anyway loved the transitions between Guitars and Violin, and Fuki's voice is top tier in japan's metal scene, and fits so well Unlucky Morpheous music. Big 💖💖 and Bravo from Switzerland, Thanks Japan's metal scene to be so good and so active. The world needs you.
