It's a home run with this hilarious and beloved comedy, starring Tom Hanks, Geena Davis and Madonna. I remember seeing this at a movie theater in Dubuque IA in 1992. A wonderful film. Funny, moving, poignant and based on true events. And what a cast- Geena Davis, Tom Hanks, Rosie O'Donnell, Madonna, John Lovits, Bill Pullman-can't go wrong there. 'There is no crying in baseball!' RIP Penny Marshall.

Watched this movie so many times as a teenager. Loved it so much. My favourite part was always the ending and everyone reuniting in their old age. Also, the “old age make up” just looked so realistic

Everybody who grew up in the 90s (like I did) loves to talk about how The Sandlot was the feel-good Baseball Movie of the decade. It's good n all, but to me, it will never hold a candle to this all-star laden cult classic. Everybody can keep Wendy Peppercorns and "You're Killing Me, Smalls" and all that shit. I'll take "There's No Crying in Baseball" and Dottie Hinson any day of the week

they made it look like it was mainly a comedy and its really not. made it look like tom hanks was the main character and he shows up like 40 minutes in. also the story is about the relationship between two sisters... well at least they didnt give away too much just all the jokes in the movie.

It was both a comedy and a heartwarming tale about wartime, families, sisterhood, and baseball. Tom was one of the leads, as was Geena Davis, Jon Lovitz, Lori Petty, Madonna, and Rosie O'donnell. All the individuals had good character arcs and developments. The girls learned they had mores skills than just being a homemaker or a farmer. They gained courage and strength and respect for themselves and each other. They helped and supported each other through trials, sadness and victory while forming lifetime friendships and bonds that continued for life. The movie did a good job of portraying the real-life ALL-AMERICAN GIRLS BASEBALL teams that sustained the American families with wholesome entertainment while they waited for their sons and husbands to return from war.
