This is a short film originally recorded in Maui Hawaii in 2019. It was inspired by the ancient Celtic myth of Tir na nÓg-the mythical land of no time, a heavenly realm. It tells the story of Niamh, daughter of the Sea God Manannán, who risks everything to descend from the heavenly realms into the dense world of form. Her mission? To find and awaken her divine counterpart, Oisín, and humanity from the slumber they chose but forgot.
In the original myth, Oisín fell in love with Niamh and chose to reside with her in the timeless dimension of Tir na nÓg. Yet, longing to return to the mortal world, he fell into a deep sleep, symbolized by his fall from a white horse. Now, Niamh mirrors this journey-risking her own slumber as she reincarnates into the human world to rekindle the threads of truth, unite humanity's stories, and awaken us all.
This scene depicts a pivotal moment: Niamh's first recollection of who she truly is. Through her internal dialogue, she experiences a rapid awakening and a profound inner revelation. Her words are not just hers-they are a sacred prayer, an echo of the collective awakening we are all experiencing today.
We are on the brink of a re-birth-a re-Genesis of humanity-calling us to unlearn, remember, and rediscover the deeper truths of our origins.
"What was once held as truth is now becoming a fable, and what was once a fable is now revealing our truth."
I’ve waited for the right moment to re-share this piece, and that moment is now. While I, Niamh Cronin, portrayed the mythical Niamh in this short film, I invite you to look beyond the surface and connect with the timeless, mythical essence of the story.
