The word "Algorithm" comes from the name of the Persian scholar Al-Khwarizmi who wrote the Arabic book titled "Kitab al hisab al Hindi" (Translation: "Book of Indian computation"). This was translated into Latin by the name "Algorithmi de Numero Indorum" (Translation: "Al-Khwarizmi's Indian Numericals"), where they altered Al-Khwarizmi's name into "Algorithmi". This book's name was abbreviated as "Algorithm". That is how the world knows it today.

Calculus was not discovered by Newton or by Leibniz. Calculus was developed in India in the 14th century by Madhava of Sangamgrama, who was the founder of Kerala school of mathematics, three centuries before Newton and Leibniz claimed to "invent" calculus. It is not a coincidence that both Newton and Leibniz made simultaneous claims of inventing calculus. Because none of the two invented it. They only got to read translated manuscripts from the Kerala school of mathematics, translated and sent to Europe by Christian missionaries in India. But neither of them acknowledged their Indian source and claimed the entire credit for themselves. At least the Persian/Arab scholars (like Al-Khwarizmi) acknowledged that their source was India. Western historians know this very well and try their very best to cover it up.

What's your name? I've been saying these things for so long, Jesuits took these knowledge to the Christian Europe. Even several westerners themselves have acknowledged of origins of calculus in India, I even saved one KZbin video in which the guy laughed at calculus being invented in Europe (he was from USA i think) . Anyway, same for Al khwarizmi, he himself writes that he has taken stuff from Indian sources and all but the west blindly tries to call them like he made it, when he himself isn't even saying that. Even the decimal number system which is made by Hindus, the Europeans called is arab number system, now some have started to refer to it as hindu-arab number system... How laughable 😂 , why would you forcefully insert the Arabs, when they themselves used to call it hindu numbers , (idk if they still do it)

Nowadays a few people in the West have begun to acknowledge that calculus was discovered in India first. But they still say that it was discovered independently in the West, so as not to rock the narrative of Western supremacy. They still do not accept that it was Indian knowledge which taken to Europe by Christian missionaries and were claimed by Europeans as their own discoveries.

Definitely truth shall be pushed out, but nowadays western dependencies have inclucated the lives of common man so intensely that today even getting access to unsynthesised and natural food is a luxury for even those who are above the Middle Class financity , the question is not of money but is of knowledge and right cultural shifts and practices, unfortunately the west has deeply injected itself in and moreover is decaying the nation slowly thereby working effectively, however there is an enormous amount of resistance from the other side too but is a mixed effort thereby not working out as an effective gross. Also btw if you would have said to me to reply all of this in my birthlanguage(because india is a secular country na) i wouldn't have been, reason - the brainS behind the open sourceness created and provided by the western alliances is designed in such a way that they just catch your neck of you let them hold your finger, pretty much to break it down all , they are TROJANS and thus is their strategy.

Jain Mathematics Important Jain texts detailing mathematical knowledge are Sūrya Prajñapti (4th or 3rd century BCE), Jambu Dwīpa Prajñapti (4th or 3rd century BCE), Sthānāṅga Sūtra (2nd-1st century BCE), Uttarādhyayana Sūtra (2nd-1st century BCE), Bhagavatī Sūtra (2nd-1st century BCE), and Anuyoga Dvāra Sūtra (2nd-1st century BCE). The Sthānāṅga Sūtra divides the study of mathematics under ten different sections: parikarma, vyavahāra, rajju, rāśi, kalāsavarṇa, yāvat-tāvat, varga, ghana, varga-varga and vikalpa. Parikarma dealt with simple arithmetic calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; vyavahāra with advanced arithmetic; rajju with geometry; rāśi with mensuration; kalāsavarṇa with fractions; yāvat-tāvat with linear equations, varga with quadratic equations; ghana with cubic equations; varga-varga with biquadratic equations; and vikalpa with permutations and combinations. Jains divided numbers into three types: enumerable, innumerable and infinite. Anuyoga Dvāra Sūtra describes five types of infinity: infinite in one direction, infinite in two directions, infinite in area, infinite everywhere, and infinite perpetually. The distinction between different types of infinities such as countable infinity (e.g. integers, rational numbers) and uncountable infinity (e.g. real numbers) was proposed by Georg Cantor in 1883. Jains had proposed similar ideas nearly 2,000 years before Cantor. Anuyoga Dvāra Sūtra also talks about successive squaring: a2, (a2)2, ((a2)2)2 …, and successive square rooting: a1/2, (a1/2) 1/2, ((a1/2) 1/2) 1/2 …. It then gives the following formulas: a1/2 x a1/4 = (a1/4) 3 a1/4 x a1/8 = (a1/8)3 264 x 232 = 2 96 These calculations led to the discovery of logarithms to the bases 2, 3 and 4 as elaborated in Dhavala commentary by Vīrasenācharya around eighth century CE. Arddhachheda was the term used for logarithm to the base 2, trikachheda was the term used for logarithm to the base 3 and chaturthachheda was the term used for logarithm to the base 4. The following formulas were also known: log2(m x n) = log2m + log2n log2(m ÷ n) = log2m - log2n log2mn = n x log2m The concept of logarithm on base 10 was proposed by John Napier in 1614. Jains had developed the concept of logarithm more than eight centuries before its discovery in the west. Bhagavatī Sūtra gives the formulas for permutation and combination as follows: nC1 = n; nC2 = n x (n-1)/(1 x 2); nC3 = n x (n-1) x (n-2)/(1 x 2 x 3); nP1 = n; nP2 = n x (n-1); nP3 = n x (n-1) x (n-2) It also says that the formulas can be extended to numbers up to infinity. These discoveries predate the development of the theory of permutation by Fabian Stedman in 1677 by over eighteen centuries. Jain text Trilokaprajñapti written by Yativṛṣabha gives formulas for the first term, common difference, number of terms and sum of terms of an arithmetic progression. This text was written in 500 CE and predates the treatment of arithmetic progression by Carl Friedrich Gauss in late eighteenth century by nearly thirteen centuries. Jain mathematician Halāyudha wrote a commentary on Piṅgala’s Chhandahsūtra in tenth century CE. He gave a pictorial representation of Meru Prastāra, which is known as Pascal’s triangle currently. It is named after Blaise Pascal, who described the binomial coefficients in form of a triangle in 1653. The formulation by Halāyudha predates the work of Pascal by over six centuries.

Al-Jahiz, a 9th-century Arab scholar, described Indian Culture as follows: "As regards the Indians, they are among the leaders in astronomy, mathematics- in particular, they have Indian numerals and medicine; they alone possess the secrets of the latter, and use them to practise some remarkable forms of treatment. They have the art of carving statues and painted figures. They possess the game of chess, which is the noblest of games and requires more judgment and intelligence than any other. They make Kedah swords, and excel in their use. They have splendid music, including that of the kankala, an instrument with a single string mounted on a gourd, which takes the place of the many-stringed lute and cymbals. They know a number of sprightly dances, and are versed in magic and fumigation. They possess a script capable of expressing the sounds of all languages, as well as many numerals. They have a great deal of poetry, many long treatises, and a deep understanding of philosophy and letters; the book Kalila wa-Dimna (Panchatantra) originated with them. They are intelligent and courageous, and have more good qualities than the Chinese. (continued in reply below)

(continued from above) Their sound judgment and sensible habits led them to invent pins, cork, toothpicks, the drape of clothes and the dyeing of hair. They are handsome, attractive and forbearing, their women are proverbial, and their country produces the matchless Indian aloes which are supplied to kings. They were the originators of the science of fikr, by which a poison can be counteracted after it has been used, and of astronomical reckoning, subsequently adopted by the rest of the world." Pierre Simon de Laplace, a French mathematician whose name is familiar to every mathematician, physicist and engineer in the world, wrote about India: "When the Greeks and Arabs began to devote themselves to sciences, they drew their first elements from India. It is there that the ingenious manner of expressing all numbers in ten characters originated, by assigning to them at once an absolute and a local value, a subtle and important conception, of which the simplicity is such that we can with difficulty, appreciate its merit. But this very simplicity and the great facility with which we are enabled to perform our arithmetical computations place it in the very first rank of useful inventions; the difficulty of inventing it will be better appreciated if we consider that it escaped the genius of Archimedes and Appollonius, two of the greatest men of antiquity."

When "Western science" borrows knowledge from the East they wilfully avoid acknowleding their sources. In the 19th century Europeans copied surgical techniques and instrument designs from the Sushruta Samhita but totally "forgot" to cite their source or give any credit. In modern surgery the word "suture", used for the process of stitching tissues with a thread, comes from the Sanskrit word "sutra", which means thread. Nowadays they acknowledge Sushruta as the father of surgery but they still refuse to acknowledge that modern surgery owes its foundation to the knowledge learnt from the Sushruta Samhita.

Because without such calculations we could not write complex reference books like Surya Siddhant.
