A regal man named Vangel is thrust on a journey against his will when he is suddenly and mysteriously arrested. Injured and lost after escaping the dark king’s men, Vangel begins to have strange dreams and visions of a mysterious woman in white calling him from the unknown territory of the North. Armed with a book called “The Record of the Ancients” that he receives from a wise sage named Elder, Vangel embarks on an adventure that takes him through treacherous mountain range, unending deserts, the Lake of Doubts, and the Forest of No Return. Along the way, travel companions share about a fabled good king and his son in the North if he can make it there alive.

I have learnt..that "There is always help when I call and that "We should help each other,we can't walk this journey as individuals"...There is so much mystery and truth in this movie.

It's just the HD cameras. So yes, it looks nice. The CGI I usually don't care (I have imagination). But the scenes look meh. Like the director didn't know how to direct and the actors were learning acting from other movies. And the over-toned sound effects: no, just no.

This is actually a good movie, hope part 2 will have more budget, more actions and a bit of mild speed of phasing. Good choice of soundtrack, gamers and people who likes this kind of genre will definitely watch and wait for part 2.

But this movie only based on part 1 Pilgrim's Progress part 1 or both parts 1 and part 2 as well with Christian's wife Christiana? I am only aware of one movie with Christiana that exists with Liam Neeson which sadly I have not seen any other attempts to film part 2 yet. You also mentioned "series" and part 2 which it is interesting take note that the Pilgrim's Progress written by John Bunyan also had a part 2 as well with Christiana. The reason why I wanted to mention is because most movies only include part 1 despite the fact that John Bunyan made a full story for part 2 as well.

I just watched the making of the movie and noticed that it was a tough movie to make. And so, I could totally understand why the movie was low budget now. It is unclear to me what part 2 would be based on, but anyway I am actually a big fan of Pilgrim's Progress as well.

I just watched this film. I have not read the book "The Pilgrim's Progress", and only know the story from the Marvel Comic's graphic novel version. But it was pretty apparent to me from the previews that this was an original work reminescent of Bunyan's classic, and not an adaptation of the Novel. With no expectations beyond that, the first third of the movie I spent comparing it pretty favorably to the 1980s fantasy and sword and sorcery movies of my youth. The middle third of the movie I was engrossed in the story, but kind of trying to second guess the plot. In the final third of the film I wasn't even thinking of it as a film anymore and was breathless with excitement and a sense of hope and wonder. Personally I was really moved by this film!

The Pilgrim's Progress is a great story. The only movie version I've seen is from the 1970s, and an obvious very tight budget. Looking forward to this. Looks awesome!

Seems like an awesome production value for a low-budget film. It's a shame though that all the charm of the original book is missing. What happened to Christian's burden? And what's with the Dragon Ball Z energy blasts and stuff? As impressive as the cinematography is, the project seems lacking in depth. Why put Pilgrim's Progress in the title? I was excited when the trailer started but as I noticed basically nothing about this concept follows Bunyan's masterpiece, I quickly lost all interest.

Now I could be wrong it might be something totally different but the thing is what I have noticed is that lately people have been watering the gospel, Christian music is now gloryfying themselves and feelings , some movies are not bringing people to Christ. Now correct me if i am wrong shouldn't the things we watch do be glorifying God. My concern with the movie is the sensual tone it has to it some parts look sexualized. It's like the trailer is compromising the gospel. So does the sensual tone not concern you since the original movie is a Christian movie....

I did not even know this movie existed until now. Also, lets be honest and admit that if the Pilgrim's parts 1 and especially part 2 with Christiana were to be made into live action films today their is enough violence that it could even be rated pg-13. Especially the Valley of the Shadow of Death, Valley of Humiliation fight with Apollyon , Christian almost getting almost getting shot by arrows from Belzebub's castle at the Wicket Gate, Faithful's death at Vanity, and various scary and/or sad moments as well from Part 1. Also, Pilgrim's Progress part 2 with Christian's wife Christiana actually has a lot of violence and some scary/sad elements. As for it being rubbish? I think that the point is that it is supposed to be loosely based on Pilgrim's Progress; although, one downside is that I question as to whether or not this movie is even worth watching based on just the trailer due to the fact that if it contradicts Pilgrim's Progress parts 1 and/or 2 too much with not enough "Biblical" material then yes it could be considered rubbish in comparison to the actual book. Also, from part 1 Christian never killed anyone, because his only battles were based on Spiritual Warfare.

I do want to point out as well that my main reason for mentioning part 2 is because number 1 it is unclear if this movie is only loosely based on part 1 or if it also includes part 2 as well, number 2, the second part actually had more violence than part 1, and number 3 the women do not play any major roles from part 1 besides Christian's wife from early in the story and the women at the Palace Beautiful while part 2 in contrast has more female involvement.

That's not magic. It's simply supernatural abilities. Witches and warlocks manipulate the elements and they call it magic, but Jesus can command the elements and it's not... Are you gonna call him a magician too? Are you going to say Elijah or Moses used "magic" when they stretched out their hands and made nature obey their command? Are you going to call it magic when a flaming sword turning every which way in the garden of Eden kept Adam and Eve away from it, or when a sword comes out of Jesus's mouth during the Day of the Lord? What about the things that Ezekiel or Isaiah saw? Or in Habbakuk 3:4 when it says that *the Lord's power hides in his hand?* There's a LOT of things that our Lord and the prophets and apostles did in the scriptures/history that could be _seen_ as magic, but it's not. Once you understand what magic really is, you won't have to assume that what you see in this Christian movie (or others) is "magic".

@@WanderlustProductions Also, you may say it's semantics and some may think it's unnecessary to point out the difference between magic and supernatural abilities, but the Lord is clear about his stance against sorcery, witchcraft and magic, while people like Samson, David, Joshua, Moses, etc. had supernatural strength without incantations and the like. So I felt it was necessary to point out the difference between the two since yeah... it's quite a big deal in the scriptures.

I see actors of various diversities at 0:59 1:19 and 1:31 but it's true there seem to be no Ugandans, Italians, Pakistanis, Russians, South Africans, Venezuelans, Portuguese, Mongolians, Finns, Scottish, half-Pinoys, quarter-Jamaicans, Muslims, Hindus, or Irish Redheads among the cast. Or maybe there are, but the ethnic/racial/religious group they identify with is not determined by the skin colour we see? Of course that's just the cast in the trailer, not the huge film crew behind it all. Besides all that, in today's crazy culture anyone can seemingly identify as any gender, race or age they feel like, so maybe they ARE all black latinos, and who is to say otherwise? The only race we should really be concerned about is the one Paul wrote about in 1 Corinthians 9:24. (But personally I'd like to see more Brits married to Colombians living in Portugal represented in the cast.)

@@cybersethxp Thats a cute comment coming from someone who appears white. Black talent and other minority races are rarely recognized especially in Christian movies. We do not get the lead roles only supporting. So it does matter because Enough is ENOUGH! Do not use the bible and scriptures to promote or support racism. THANKS! And while they "may" have casted other ethnicities in the movie I can guarantee they do not play an "important" role. I would love to see a real Christian movie that is relateable and not corny with minorities as lead characters. Christian and faith films exclude minorities more than secular films. I am familiar with the Pilgrim's Progress. I've read the book. I think its great its been made into a movie. However I must admit that not seeing any representation I do not wish to invest my funds. I'll check it out later, I believe that this production could be well done. I am glad this film is made. However I would appreciate more diversity.
