After watching this I mused back over my own Life. As they showed the different struggles and trials he endured along his journey , the reality of each journey , reveals those who helped and rescued along the way. Nearing age 70 , gives one much time to look back and remember the miracles , the trials, the tragedies and the triumphs and it brings my heart to see the amazing experiences and the wonderful people who were used to bless me all thru my life. I cant count the number of times the enemy of our souls has tried to take my light from me , still it glowss with fire and strength. Do not hIde your light under any bushel , you deny yourself the joys of knowing the love that passes understanding. NoT my typical choice of movie but so glad I watched as it reached my heart and mind and i agree that a kingdom of Righteousness And Justice is one to be desired greatly.

Showing that "Our real purpose is to fit ourselves to be of maximum service to God and to the people about us." pg. 77 Big Book. This Movie was an outstanding example of the war of Good vs. Evil.

I 💕 the animated version because it's more family oriented but this is great for an adult night of lessons & adventure. After asking Jesus into my life recently it's hard to tolerate any movie. For those who struggled understanding what this story is about: it’s an allegory, a metaphor of the trials & spiritual battles/ spiritual warfare against satan’s darkness, deceits & demonic powers that a christian goes through, while keeping faithful to his trust in God the Father, Jesus-Christ (the prince of peace, also the Savior of our soul) and humbly submissive to the leadership of Holy Spirit who enlightens our path unto a promised glorious eternity... First, through the Scriptures God inspired to that effect, but also by the means of increased knowledge & discernment, both generously provided by spiritual anointing, all the while strengthened & protected by the spiritual armor of Ephesians chapter 6. darkness will always seek out and try to lure the weak. Darkness fears the mighty for it can not defeat them. I think you may have this a bit backwards. We all serve god in one way or another. We are all part of the master plan. It's just that god likes variety and even surprises so we are left to design our own path and our own service. The journey to true enlightenment is the journey within. I am flawed. Therefore i need to face my flaws. confront my demons and conquer them. Allow the light within to escape in whatever way seems right to me. To each of us that is different. and even when you feel you may be at the very pinnacle of purity... you may in fact be facing your own worst side. The journey never ends. It is always about what is the next challenge you must face and overcome.

Great scenery in this film. I recognized a scene in the beginning. It's near Mineral, CA, about 40 miles from Redding, Ca. There's a campground there just before you get into Mineral. Great fishing for trout there. I kept watching for more places I recognized when I realized this is actually a pretty good movie in itself. Not just a run of the mill "B" movie.

This is an amazing story, not only can you relate the story to the bible, especially the book of Revelations but also it gives a good picture on what the Christian life looks like. And if any says this as nothing to do with Jesus Christ and Christianity, at 1:09:55 Elder said, "Peace I give you. not the peace the world gives to you, My Peace I give to you." he was quoting Jesus Himself from the book of John in chapter 14 verse 27, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." The one thing I didn't like is they made the Holy spirit a women.

First, let me say I would watch this again because it is such a good example of what to never ever ever ever ever do in a movie--ever! This . . . was embarrassing. Genuinely staggeringly amazingly terrible. I actually watched it the entire way through because you could tell they knew what they were doing, so I thought it had to get better, but it was like they were showing you they knew the most fundamental rules of filmmaking and then breaking them, with a Grinch smile on their face. If it had even been a decent story, that might have saved it but it was . . . yeah, it was that bad. Oh! And according to the movie, God is now a woman. That was . . . enlightening.

@@storyslice1937 I agree that the movie was not good. The animated Pilgrims progress was way better and you clearly understood who each character was meant to be. I even enjoyed the musical, although without reading the book yet, which I have and am about to I feel that the animated one is more accurate just because it had more bible. God is not a woman in this horrible one we just watched, that was the interpreter. I dont know who the five chosen are meant to be. unless it is supposed to be the five fold minestry.
