Great game! I used dark beast for my first magneto game with his Precon for my new hero/new me episode yesterday. I made the port decision to flip to alter-ego with Zero on the scheme. He schemed, two encounter cards, first was a dark beast card that had him scheme, then the second one was advance! 0-10 in .6 seconds. Oofta!

drawing digging deeps is why I've pivoted away from running all three recently in discard heroes, the only one I still run all three is Domino due to her interaction with wilds

I'm watching the video, but noticed you use Digging Deep and White Fox. To me they're really not worth it with Iron Man. Outside of the first 1-2 turns I'm barely in Alter-Ego and drawing them manually really suck. Not to mention Digging Deeps aren't lightning resources. I saw some gameplays and decks where people just kinda ignore Repulsor Blast. Well, I don't. I put almost exlusively lightning resources in my deck and at worst I usually manage to hit 3, more often than not 4 or 5. I like having the option to have 2 damaging event cards instead of just Supersonic Punch. If I really want to speed up my first turn, I just put 3 Meditations in my deck. They aren't lightning resources and that sucks, but if I manage to draw 1, I'm very happy.

Good point, i usually also run Meditation win Tony but wanted to try out Digging Deep again and instead. Even though i flip more than you i also felt that Digging Deep isn’t worth it for Iron Man. In regards to Repulsor Blast though, i am one of the culprits who always ignore it 😂 i feel like even when i build around it i still constantly whiff and it’s just not something i can rely on if i desperately need to take a minion or defeat the villain during a specific turn

@@webwarriorfanatic I agree that it's not very reliable, but my friend (who's favorite is still Protection Iron Man) and I likes to use it still, though as I mentioned we put mostly lightning resources in. I feel so weird looking at Dark Beast. I always remember how I expected him to be somewhat challenging, like at least Sentinel level, but he feels more like something like Absorbing Man... or weaker. At least the main scheme's treshold isn't very big. The only time I did lose against him was when he schemed out when he activated again.

@@Kazuchi35 that’s a good comparison lol. Dark Beast does give Absorbing Man vibes. They both have a similar main scheme, an environment, and relatively simple mechanics. I do like Dark Beast more though, maybe because it’s Beast or the mod sets being more fun
