I'm young n' built a cigar box banjo because of fallout songs(im poor so i dont want to spend money on my hobbies); I started listening to the carter family and the dillards. The cigar box brand was "Excalibur" like the sword and some spanish words( found the box in my dads garage), and I just used scrap metal in my yard like you would in fallout and I bought banjo strings for five bucks. It cost a me a day and five bucks to make one narly sounding banjo. Haven't figured out my fretz yet; so far i just bent some long staples around the neck that I can adjust incase it's not where I want them.

Highly suggest you go check out Dwight yoakam then, as Buck Owens is like his idol growing up and who he modeled his music after. Little bit more modern taste as well, just a heads up

First heard this song a long while ago because of the beatles performance by ringo starr. Since then it really got an special place in my heart... To me it sounds so fit to the ironies of life, as an cinema student and worker of the movie industry myself. Hearing it on that episode of fallout, a series i'm a great fan of sure set some tears to my eye! Wether those tears were joy or irony i'm yet to figure.

LYRICS: They're gonna put me in the movies They're gonna make a big star out of me We'll make a film about a man that's sad and lonely And all I gotta do is act naturally Well, I'll bet you I'ma gonna be a big star Might win an Oscar you can't never tell The movie's gonna make me a big star 'Cause I can play the part so well Well, I hope you come to see me in the movie Then I know that you will plainly see The biggest fool that's ever hit the big time And all I gotta do is act naturally We'll make a scene about a man that's sad and lonely And begging down upon his bended knee I'll play the part but I won't need rehearsin' All I'll have to do is act naturally Well, I'll bet you I'ma gonna be a big star Might win an Oscar you can't never tell The movie's gonna make me a big star 'Cause I can play the part so well Well, I hope you come to see me in the movie Then I'll know that you will plainly see The biggest fool that's ever hit the big time And all I gotta do is act naturally
