I like how you actually hear from Bun E. in this one. And, I like how they said that he's one of the best in rock... Totally true. Not showy or anything like that, but such a rock-solid drummer.

The funniest CT interview yet, Bun E is hilarious, still the GOAT drummer! Had the honor of meeting him when I was 14y and it paved the way for me as a drummer.

These interviewers are such jerks. Just talk to the guys about the show and that’s that. They guys handled well but it was just ridiculous. Cheap Trick-Amazing musicians that work great together. Rick writes most of the songs and is a fantastic guitar player. Rick has two, four and even five neck guitars. Robin Zander is a great singer and it’s not about his looks (although he does look good, but they all do in their own way) he’s a great guitarist as well. Tom Petersson is s great Bass player and it’s said that he made the first twelve String Bass, besides that he is always having fun. Bun E. Carlos (Carlson) is from South America and is very good on Drums and has played with a lot of great musicians. They are a tight band, they’re unique and extremely underrated. Go listen to all the cool and unusual songs they sing and you’ll get a little bit of everything. Once of the greatest bands in the world. There will never be another ‘Cheap Trick’.

Awesome, THANK YOU whoever is behind this MASS upload of GREAT Cheap Trick tapes. I don't think ANY band does this. it's just amazing that some of these performances have survived all these years and in such great shape.

. Saw them in Poughkeepsie ny in 1986 at "The Chance" theater. Small ,beautiful place. they killed. Todd Rundgren came out at the end and they did Beatles cover. Cant remember what one.

What's awesome about the boys is this--they keep pumping out the product. KZbin has allowed all this amazing stuff to come to light. The old interviews, the obscure clips, outtakes, amazing concert footage. Hey, if this band doesn't make it into the RRHOF, I'll be a monkey's uncle!

Thanks for totally missing my point. I love Cheap Trick. What I was saying is a joke is these wankers calling Cheap Trick a "new" act when they had been around for years at this point.
@shinybald3611 жыл бұрын
well, why they have the record sales and the songs to make it,but don't hold your breath, none of them ever said some blanket political statement, their neither southern or black, or where ever hippy's which is a shame because if you listen to the music along with a lot of english sixties bands influence, you definitely hear some honest to good 50's rock influences, without sounding overly deriavitive.

In terms of "new", people forget that Dream Police was their first (and probably only) Top 10 album. And their first song video. If they had not completely fluked the whole Budokan thing, Cheap Trick would likely have remained a tiny cult band doing 200-500 seat bars.

Hottest NEW acts? What a joke.
@Soundeagle34565 жыл бұрын
rick is soo loud he trumps tom off by light years, i honestly think with the amount of ignorance tom faced in the band he should have just quit and found better mates to hang out with.
@StarCityAudits3 жыл бұрын
The irony of you using the word ignorance.
@markshouse Жыл бұрын
He did quit and came back after 7 years. He probably likes not having to answer same questions day after day. That’s where Rick’s antics keeps them going.
@PunkRockScum6912 жыл бұрын
What are You talking about? Cheap Trick is one of the best bands ever from the USA. How can you call them a joke? between 75 and 83 for straight rock n roll they were one of the best! Topped only by Australia's AC/DC with BON SCOTT! Metal is a different story as well as POP. But cheap Trick blew away bands in their league like Queen,Styx,Kansas,even Kieth Richards said he loved Cheap Trick.
@duffbaker95546 жыл бұрын
Because those other bands had absolutely no Power Pop R'n'R smarts unlike Cheap Trick.
