Listening to this, I am reminded of my son’s birth. When I was so overwhelmed with emotion all I could do was cry tears of joy. Coheed makes me feel that same way. Same thing happened for me when my first son was born. I went out into the hallway to and my little brother was pacing up and down the hall and as soon as he asked "is he born yet?" As a 52 year-old drummer/singer, I find that this band encompasses and evokes all manner of melody and rhythm, to the point that it makes me emotional listening to most of their masterpieces! I have a lot of prog, jazz/rock, and hard rock influences, but Claudio just seems to have an inane sense of melody, harmony, and intellectual architecture when composing these pieces...not to mention the many interesting and friendly COTF I have met along this musical journey!
