When you can't prove something, act offended - Every scammer ever
@PaoloTrianni7 жыл бұрын
Have you ever asked a religious person that GOD isn't real. Even though they believe with their heart GOD is real they would still be offended or triggered by the question. The way he acted is not prove of him being scammer, but more of all the evidence put together is. How much they are charging, they proven results, there claims and the science. Though good editing and the right questions can mislead us too.
@TempestTossedWaters7 жыл бұрын
It is a kind of self-delusion they're offended to be questioned on. When someone tells them any kind of falsehood that is readily verifiable as false they are not offended. It's when they've got a strong belief that they know they can't justify that they'll be offended.

Sweeping generalisations like this really annoy me, as he's treating Derren like an idiot and with disregard and contempt. When we hear anyone do this in life, we need to recognise that the question we've asked is a vitally important one. It's not difficult. Every Atheist spends their whole life in a world full of people with beliefs, ideas and BS stories others blindly (pun intended) accept on faith without a single ounce of tangible proof. Derren is simply highlighting a new wave, new money-making cons based on concepts that go back thousands of years in humanity. What I find extraordinary is that as quick as people are to point out and ridicule UFO abductees, scientologists, psychic mediums, or the ridiculous seeing without sight con in this video, these are all essentially playing on the same themes as all organised religion! What makes each of these systems, beliefs or stories designed to mislead, take advantage or profit from so many is how none of them are ever able to come close to proving themselves with the simplest of experiments science moved on from thousands of years ago.

katnip2u, I can find published no robust scientific evidence for 'genital energy'. There is similarly no such evidence for the human body having psychic powers, chakras, meridians or spiritual auras etc. What concerns me more is that these people selected just the genitals as their focus rather than the mind (central nervous system), breathing (a constant activity), stomach area (centre of body mass) or feet (grounding). So many cultish groups are set up to groom, ensnare, then sexually exploit their most vulnerable followers. I hope this isn't happening in this organisation.

I am originally from the Ukraine (my family left Ukraine years ago) and I completely agree with Darren - there are totally fraudulent individuals there who claim to be healers. There are very similar problems here in the US - it's a completely unregulated industry unfortunately. The government or regulators rarely get involved even when people are scammed.
@veggiesarefruits2 жыл бұрын
While I completely agree with you that it's morally wrong to defraud people, I believe it is also morally wrong for any government to infringe on what people choose to have faith in or to spend their own money on. Allowing any authority to decide what is and isn't acceptable for people to believe in, is a slippery slope that is far more dangerous than allowing people the freedom to explore, make mistakes, or find something that may actually benefit them. Do I believe that this guy is morally reprehensible? Definitely. But the more power we give away to the government, the more rights they will take away from us. Whenever we trust in the government to protect us or save us from ourselves, all we're doing is transferring our faith from one entity with limited power, to one with much, much more. That's why the saying, "Absolute power corrupts absolutely" is so important to remember. Giving more and more control to any government is far scarier than maintaining the rights of individuals to regulate their own personal life choices.

I studied psychology in the 1970's, and the Perception labs included some experiments where the whole class was blind folded well. We had then to walk around for 3 hours amongst the fellow students and lecture room piled up furniture. We were told to relax and allow impressions to come to us. They did!! Within half an hour all of us came to realize that we could "sense" what was in front of us. Very quickly we began to "feel" that what was in front of us as a person or a piece of furniture. We all automatically began to step away from obstructions. Our vision as a sense is so dominant that we are not aware of all the sensory impact from hearing for example. Sound seems to be emitted from our own selves, then bounces back to our ears, so that you can "HEAR" it, not "SEE"it. Some blind people have audio enhancement glasses which amplify those bouncing sounds, enabling the person to walk with more certainty. It does not give you the ability to see, but to sense your surroundings by sound.

No i haven't "realized Darren's bias" as you call it. Now explain what you mean by that, as I dont see anything wrong in editing and this material. He asked him multiple times straight questions and the dude was dodging all the time. His tricks works on uneducated unaware minds. The guy on the other hand arouse in his arrogance as he sensed that Darren is not buying his usual tricks like that story with that "boy who can see better then you, think about it..." Darren was trying to pinpoint the origin of this story and the guy again dodged. Story was to create amazement in poor mans mind and to create seed for belief. All such uncheckable stories are to create fanbase of believers around himself so that he can work with them and further manipulate and feed on them draining them from their cash. Its selling and buying thing tactic. He is used to sells his bs and he is used to be surrounded by weak mind ppl to buy this from him. Nano??? Does he mean Neo? And my uro/genital system splashes all the time especially when I sneeze. I once sneezed 57 times on the trot and wasted a perfectly useable golden shower. My eyesight was unaffected.

Thank goodness Derren Brown can see frauds without even needing to use his eyes. Similar sight that Houdini, The Amazing Randi, and Penn & Teller had (and have). The magic community and humanity as a whole will always need these human bs detectors though bc charlatans will always prey on those in vulnerable positions. Amazing special Derren Brown - you’re a true pioneer in the art of magic 👏🏻

“Can teach people to see”, the guy is wearing glasses. Isn’t that kind of contradicting?
@akunog27085 жыл бұрын
apparently you weren't paying attention. It takes a lot of genital energy to use the magic brain computer LCD from the matrix. For every day stuff you have to rely on cheap human glasses, they suck, but they require zero genital energy for continued use. I hope this doesn't become like a massive cult or something we have to deal with lol.

We were so shocked and have no explanation for this !

I don't know if I believe in everything here, but I do believe without the bells and whistles, it is possible to somewhat see the world around you without using your eyes. I used to do this all the time as a kid since its something I just realized I was doing naturally, and then I kind of realized it was pretty cool so I would play around with it. As an adult I don't have much use for it. I can see, so I don't mess around with it much anymore. I do think it takes practice. When I was a kid I would lay in bed in the dark with my eyes closed and hear my mother in the kitchen doing things, and with my memory of the way the kitchen was set up, and my memory of what things sound like, I could hear her footsteps and therefore "see" her walk and how far she moved, and hear her pick something up and set it down on the counter, and I'd hear/see her take a glass out of the cupboard and put it on the counter and fill it with water. It was never perfect. There were a lot of holes in it where for a second I'd be confused by something not lining up with what I expected to hear/see, but by piecing information together I could "see" what was going on again. If someone was moving some strange object around, no of course I couldn't see it unless I heard it in some way, or felt it in some way. If it was moved quickly in front of my face maybe I could pick up its general shape by the gust of wind it created, if someone banged it against something I could maybe figure out its size and shape and material, and maybe even guess what it was if it was something I already knew about. It doesn't take memory of seeing things to do this though, all it takes is knowing where things are, what things sound like, what things feel like, what they do, etc. Which are all things you can know even if youve been blind your whole life. But again I stress it isnt perfect. Maybe with a lifetime of practice it could be almost perfect, though. And as of x-ray vision, that could be possible if you could hear the object in some way. If I could hear an object rattling in a box, better yet if I could take the box in my hands and feel it bump against the inside of the box, I could probably figure out what it is and what position it's in. But that's usually pretty simple for people even without practice. Maybe everyone can do all of this without thinking about it, I don't know. I was just a silly kid.

Derren is a showman, does trickery for entertainment, not very different from any other magician out there. This guy is promoting a miraculous method that will give you the ability to see beyond. Like Leono from the Thundercats or some guy in the streets screaming to have a miraculous cure for cancer and diabetes.
