I came across this dude recently. He is really good, and honestly i could completely identify with the words and lyrics. I have been with someone for 4 years, and when i was at my lowest in my active addiction he was there for me thru everything. Long term treatment, psychwards, detoxs, halfway houses. Until about a year ago, i got a call and a text from his wife, i was in shock 😲 heartbroken, destroyed.. i always knew something was off, but we are blind when we are in love, we dont wanna believe the worst, because we dont wanna lose that person. Feelings and love were invested on both ends, we lived together for a minute, now thinking back they must have been separated. I was a fool, and sadly im still in love with him.. but ill be damned if i mess sobriety up over a man that broke my heart. I have been through so much in active addiction.. on the streets, with my mom.. who is also in recovery. Lost our home, family, careers, and most of all we lost who we were. Ive been broken down a majority of my life for bad decisions and choices. This is a song i needed to listen too. It just reminds me of the reality of my situation... this shit hit me... ❤
