Actually, that was a very correct and orthodox innings from Duckett. He played classical cricket shots, with nearly all of his boundaries hit along the ground. Brian Lara and Kumar Sangakkara would have been pleased to have played those shots. Calling it 'Bazball mode' would be under-valuing it.

As a Joe Root fan, very disappointed seeing that shot to get out from him, he should play like he usually does, be patient, punish the bad balls, rotate the strike, not play loose shots like that.

Root, Brook and Stokes were all out playing ridiculous strokes. Brook's dismissal is a perfect example of how useless the reverse sweep is in test cricket. That ball was a long hop which Brook could have pulled for 4 if he hadnt already decided to bat left-handed. I still cant even believe the stroke Root played after 6or7 reviews. It was short outside off. He could have cut it (or better still, left it) but he seemed to have played a cross-batted slog towards midoff. How a great bat like Root could do such a thing amazes me.

Their brutality can only be seen in England & the flat decks in Pakistan...they are making such wickets in England to suit their batting style...Their brutality could not be seen in India during the 5 match series ,,why??because the bowling attack was so versatile...Jasprit Bumrah was unplayable,,Kuldeep was brilliant,,Siraj & Akash Deep were good..Ashwin & Jadeja were superbb as always...Can't really complain about the pitches this time,,the pitches during that test series were really good...Their brutality won't be seen in Australia as well,,won't be seen on slow & tricky wickets of West Indies as well ...Brutality won't be seen in South Africa as well..
