Oh my god! My mother once told me that I slept with my eyes open as a baby. Now, according to my mother, and I do remember this, they had to take me for an ECG on me because sleeping with your eyes open is a sign of epilepsy. Back in the day, the leeds had needles on the end, which were inserted into the scalp. I remember my parents lying to me about said procedure by telling me it was a test to see how much I loved my father. YES, I'm fully aware that these people were sadistic. I do remember not speaking to them afterward.
@sarahberkner8 ай бұрын
No, I don't think that means they are sadistic. Sadistic parents probably wouldn't care if their kid might have epilepsy and take them in to be tested.
@bcayeАй бұрын
EEG. ECG is cardiac. Also, I performed them and was around people performing them for 40 years and they never used needles. The electrodes are attached with conductive paste.
@TammyLynn2466Ай бұрын
@@bcaye I'm really NOT one to argue-much, but you're mistaken. An EEG or ECG are short for electrocephalogram. Which is used to check brainwaves and for diagnostic purposes. You are talking about EKG, which is called an electrocardiogram. These leeds are placed on the chest and they also used to place one on the calf, WAY WAY back in the day. I know this because I did this work as a physicians assistant, and phlebotomist when I worked for a group of physicians back in 1986. In fact, back then we used to have to shave the patients where the leeds were placed because we used small suction cups placed on the skin with the wires screwed into the side 🙂

@@LancerX916Actually "merican" is a slang signifying the way some Americans pronounce the word. As if the 'A' was missing...like 'merican. So there was no Mexican reference here But I agree with the part where you mentioned that not everyone watches the GN show, and so they won't know about the red chair That made her reaction really hilarious.
