My father was a nurse, always called a Male Nurse back in the 60s. I always assumed at that time that he took care of the MAIL at the hospital. For years I thought this.

Love that Jennifer Saunders shared her experience of being so exhausted she fell asleep nursing her baby. That’s real life and thankfully her daughter was safe and sleeping soundly.

Oh! Many of us Mum's have done that. My fourth baby ended up in our waterbed as he found it comforting. I would regularly wake up to find that he had managed to attach himself to my b**b. Clever baby, but so natural.

The poor mom so tired that her baby was lost. The best reason for a dog is where the dog is the baby is. So many times I’ve used the dog to find hiding children. One time my husband lost our 2 year old boy and I came home and she nstead of Bering upset I told my husband stop talking and listen. Our dog was barking like never before from the next street. IWe followed the sound and there was our dog in a shallow pond. She was standing and blocking our son from going into the pond. Thank God for that brilliant German Shepherd. She also kept the owner of the pond to go anywhere near our son happily played ng she n the pond edge. We have always had a dog ever since.

The Motorcycle comment... I didnt understand this until I was older. I was talking to my father, big motorcycle guy.. He has taken me out on them multiple times.. I had moved out, in my mid 20s.. and was on the phone with him and said "I think I want to get a motorcycle. It would just be so much easier to get to work and back, take up less gas." And so on.. And my father, a few states away said "Absolutely not." I questioned him why.. and it boiled down to.. HE trusted himself on a motorcycle with me, because he was safe.. I was his world and he was in control and made sure everything happened in the most safe way for me. A boy wouldnt care, wouldnt have the knowledge, the know how, the fear... and I didnt have the experience, and didnt yet understand how other people on the road are such a hazard.. He was afraid for me.. because it was a control of safety issue.. and a motorcycle is by far the most dangerous way to travel. I understood his point of view, and never got one.. I have a park ranger friend now.. who 'supervises' motorcycle rallys.. and always talks about "well, this death happened today." He talks about the fun points sure.. but there are a lot of stupid deaths... Thank you Dad for just.. still being strict and thinking about my safety, even after I leave the nest.

I framed the prodigiously unflattering drawings of myself created by my sons when they were "littles". I am depicted with neon yellow skin and "realio-trulio" daggers in my mouth. The overall mien is of a loving happy woman but the juxtaposition of the jaundiced skin and the PREDATORY teeth never ceases to DELIGHT ME. Others have attempted to CRITICIZE their creations, as they are ASTONISHED I so proudly display such unflattering drawings...but we three (my sons & I) love them. I say to them, EACH DAY these words, or rather the English translation of this eloquent sentiment, coined by Rosemonde Gérard: Car, vois-tu, chaque jour je t’aime davantage, Aujourd’hui plus qu’hier et bien moins que demain. So naturally they didn’t, for a second, think that I would knowingly mispronounce a word. I love hearing about all the celebrities and their littles. My 3 year old grandson is such a stinker He just got a small battery powered minibike and was told that we have to put it on the charger for later as the battery had gone low. Hes upset and pouting on the couch and playing a matching game on the tablet. About 45 minutes goes by and I go over and sit next to him and ask if he's feeling better yet. He dead on looks me in the eye and says "I'd feel better if you went back over to that end of the couch gramma. But I still love you" 😅 Hes smart and blunt and has no fear

My best friend when I was a kid looked quite a bit like her aunt (her mom’s younger sister). I remember being on a road trip with her and her family one time when we were like 12, and her dad told her that her aunt was actually her birth mom but had gotten pregnant as a teenager and so they had adopted her and raised her as their own daughter. It took about a week to convince her it was a joke. Her dad has such a dry, deadpan sense of humor, and it really was believable enough that I wouldn’t be surprised if she doesn’t sometimes still wonder if it’s actually true…

I didn't understand what my dad did until I was basically an adult. He was a project manager and it was a combination of him not putting in proper effort to explain and me being too dumb to really understand. So when people asked what he did I would pick a random profession each time.

I read this on her Trivia pg on IMDb! On August 28, 1969, Cohen left the office to go to the hospital to give birth to Jack, but she stopped on her way out to collect the documents she was working on. Later that same day, she solved the problem with the Abort-Guidance System, the master plan that was crucial to safely return the crew and rescue the Apollo 13 astronauts just before giving birth.
